SAAAAAAKKKKKKHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Feel a little bit for the hammers after last night. Seems they had a shit ref and had most of the play. Leicester tried to play on the break all the time and the irons should have had a pen. Hate to see teams playing like that.

what you mean, like they did to us? Get what you deserve (Hopefully relegation after Brady's disgraceful comments).

You mean they got what happened to us when we played them last weekend? Karma is a woman

West Ham have managed to secure some fantastic away results so far this season, 9 points from away trips to Anfield, The Emirates and The Etihad, I doubt there will be many others, if any, that achieve that this season. I think there were some differences between the displays though. I watched the Arsenal game (as it was on TV) and saw a decent amount of highlights from the Liverpool game, and West Ham were the better side on both occasions. They showed a fair amount of attacking endeavour, created chances and never really looked under too much pressure, or in too much danger. The same can't really be said of the City game. West Ham played very well, but it was from a defensive position, rather than offensively. City had a hatful of shots, 27 of the combined 33 shots hit on the day, and very nearly 3/4 of the possession.

Below is the "heat map" which illustrates the positioning of both teams back 4 during the game, City on the left and West Ham on the right. A clear indication that territorially City were dominating the game.

Ultimately it doesn't matter, West Ham won. They scored their 2 goals (from their 3 shots on target) and they defended extremely well to cling on to their lead. They deserve a great deal of credit for that. However, in probably more than 9 out of 10 times, a performance like City's on Saturday would have been enough to win a football match, more than enough. It was just one of those games where the opposition defended well, the ball simply wouldn't fall in goal mouth scrambles, and our finishing was ever so slightly wayward.

Fair play to West Ham, they got a great result against us on Saturday and used every trick in the book and the idiot ref didnt stop them. They'll be disappointed with last night's result, the League Cup could have been a possibility for them this year. Having said that, they can now focus on the league. Good luck to them.
