West Ham United (A) | Post-Match Thread

Will he? So his team talk is all about Liverpool and how his team can help them, why would that happen? Truth is we are superb at home and they will have to play out of their boots to hold us, they will unravel in the second half, Gerard couldn't win it as a player and he won't worry us as a manager

Not precisely. But anyone who has ever played for a coach that they love knows to what extent they would give their fullest energies for them.
My take is that they love him and would run through a proverbial wall for him.
They aren't coming to the Etihad to lay down for us.

Errrrr, I believe I mentioned this game stood out like a sore thumb over a month ago!

To think we have made the last game, against a Villa team run by the ex-King of the Kop, a must win to avoid losing the title, is a bad thing.

The 38 game season should never have come down to this, and ex-Dipper Ings will have found the shooting boots he forgot to wear against the Dippers, and Watkins will exploit the same holes as Bowen did yesterday…the diagonal in behind the currently slowest back line in the League, compounded by AWOL full backs!

If this game isn’t 3-0 at HT, the nerves inside the Etihad will be jangling…on and off the field. Gerrard is salivating at the prospect of handing this trophy, and his managerial career, to Liverpool.
What do you mean a 38 game season shouldn’t come down to this.
we have no divine right to win, and no say in the scousers continuing to plug away.
Embrace it, if we win great, if we lose avoid the media (do that already). Life will go on

Fan vote. Scousers and everyone but City all over it.
That they allow themselves to be used this way speaks volumes to what they’ve become, as the once “bastion of British journalism.”

Fan clickbait is everywhere, but when you see there are THOUSANDS of comments, some prick in some office is rubbing his hands with glee. Everything is clickbait now!

Southampton have been on their holidays for the last month, I hope your right because it will make this week hugely enjoyable but I would be shocked if the dippers did not win the game comfortably.

After watching the FAcup final, Liverpool looked out of their feet in extra time and salad and van Dijk coming off maybe it's catching up on them ? When you hit the brick wall, it falls off pretty quick and It's so hard to find your fitness again,

just like West Ham yesterday, nothing really to play for other than Europa League or the other tin pot uefa cup have made up ? So had to give their fans a good send off, it's Southampton last home game so need to put on a good showing for them

yes you're right, on paper Liverpool should thump them ? But doing it is another thing, and they have to do it again at the weekend also,

i said yesterday that point is so so big for both clubs, and maybe it will show in the Liverpool game ?

Couldn't disagree more!

To need a win in a home game against a mediocre team to guarantee a title is a position any other club would bite your hand off for.

We're in a great position. Looking forward to an electric atmosphere Sunday.
