West Ham United (A) | Sun 7th Aug | Post Match Thread

It's one of the toughest grounds to go to and get a result and we breezed it today against what's normally a well drilled West Ham side.

We got sloppy at times in the game but that was purely down to finding the game to easy we were in total control of the entire game.

For opposition players it's a fucking disaster playing agaisnt this side, Constantly chasing and chasing the ball we are near impossible to play against when we are on it.

From Sadcafe....

Something tells me City planned this signing all along. I think they always wanted Haaland and used Ronaldo to play us for fools, thus, giving them a free run at him.
Christ, we're a shit show in comparison these days and damn it hurts.

The funny thing is they still don't get it.

If we'd signed Ronaldo he'd have scored 40 goals last season. If we'd have signed Fred or Sanchez or Maguire they'd have been great for us too, because we've got a system and a manager and 25 players who get told what to do and how to do it.

Oh, and we'd still have signed Haaland this summer.

Voted for rodders in the man of the match thread. What he did probably went unnoticed but his performance was the reason we got this result. Snuffed out everything they offered.
I voted Erling for one reason, he scored twice on a debut which cant be repeated by him at City its a one off. Dave will do many more performances like today regularly. ;)

Had to listen in the car mainly as went to see wife's grandfather, got back for last ten mins on TV and wow, that finish for the second was great but the amount of work Rodri got through (and Walker/Camcelo) was the most impressive thing on the commentary. Gutted not to watch it all.

Don't know if it's a good or bad thing that we only had 2 shots on target all game, good in terms of 100% shots on target to goal ratio, bad in terms of I think we should be getting more shots on target than that, but great 3 points
Which do you prefer 20 shots no goals or 1 shot 1 goal?

Walk in the park, superb performaance , the big fella notched a couple to shut up all the village idiots , the Dippers might have to hand back the league title they thought they had won last week.
Really believed West Ham would be a tough test and no doubt plenty of other teams will drop points there , our defence had the same personnel but the difference from last week was like night & day. Rodri looks up to speed and was a totally different animal and dominated Rice and all the West Ham midfield players , a masterclass of midfield play.
To think we are only going to get better and sharper as the season progresses , hold on blues this season is going to be some ride.
