Consuming energy. Dry pitch. Hot day. Not match fit yet. Trying to draw west ham out. A different formation. The list is endless. We're playing slightly different to last season, expect less shots on goal in some games and kdb or gundog finding the killer pass for haaland or whoever makes the run.
Don't forget this is only our 4th match, most other teams played their 7th or 8th game today and yesterday.
West Ham played their 8th game today so in theory they should be twice as match fit than us.
 
Really enjoyed that today. Clever and controlled performance.

We looked so much sharper from last week in a game I thought could have been much more problematic.

Cancelo rightly gets the plaudits for the way he has redefined the full back role but special mention for Kyle replicating that on his side of the pitch. Composed and brave on the ball, he supported the midfield and allowed KDB and Gundog the freedom to create.

Everyone played their part, Haaland is unbelievable, he showed that our hopes of what he could bring to the team aren’t unfounded, can’t wait to see him in person next week.

Loved the full backs pushing in.
Limited West Ham break aways and gave us overloads higher up the pitch
