Let me ask again.

We're just saying that we now have a striker that's likely to score more than Sterling or Jesus did. We're not knocking them at all. This is from a conversation that started off saying that we're glad we now have a striker that is going to be better than Sterling at one on ones, as I've explained countless times tonight. That's it. I don't know why people are reading anything deeper in this.

Excellent performance from everybody today, the way we kept the ball and used the heat was great and it’s so good to have that central option now Haaland is here. The runs were great and you can already see the fullbacks moving centrally to try and feed him as well.

More to come I hope, but today was a really important game to win only time Inwas nervous was with the Haaland penno as after last weeks miss if he’d missed today it would have been unbearable but he was ice cold (apart from his header)

The pressure he withstood for that penalty was immense. Everything was on him - all the hype; the 3 missed chances from last week; the crowd were baying; and he knew all the footballing world was watching - and apart from us, probably hoping he'd miss.
And then we saw a perfect penalty. THAT, was coolness under pressure personified.

I never think of it that way. If we're 10 points clear after 10 games then it's different, but anything can happen yet, something significant probably will.

We're 1 game in, but it's still significant, and something we can build on.

Of course, I didn't say it wasn't significant, but if (for example) Liverpool win next week and we lose then it changes the perspective. So I'm not going to worry about games won or lost at this stage too much.
