A lot of Hammers didn’t like MrGold but I think he was a true fan at heart and only wanted the best for the club. Francis Lee was the same with us but I still remember him fondly as a legend of a player

Didn't deserve the abuse he got to his dying day, such is social media nowadays

Was a true Hammer, done a lot of good for this club and getting us the stadium. RIP

Was in a lift with him at City once and he was being rude to the lift attendant as he let people in and wanted him to close the doors on them. Came across as a bully. I told him not to be rude. He stood in silence till he got out. Might have been a good 'ammer but not a nice person in my opinion.
