I put a few quid on us not to finish in the top 4 (laid us on betfair) back in January or possibly early Feb. If we don't make it then my season ticket for next season is paid for. I would definitely rather not have the money but it's some small consolation if/when the terrible moment comes. I do it all the time, I lost a fortune in the title run in under Mancini, my missus went fucking spare, I was delighted to lose every bet for a month.

On a level playing field, most would expect the hammers to bury the scum. I hope we're both wrong, but I shall not be expecting any favours from the men in charge tonight

This thread reminds me of RAWK prior to the last game of the 13-14 season, when all the scousers were proclaiming AC as one of their own who owed them a favour and he would bang in at least two against us. Sadly, the shoe is on the other foot tonight. Come on Andy, City have always loved you:)

In a big game, if we take the lead, my first instinct is to get my phone out and back us to lose/draw.

Haven't bothered betting against us or for United with regards the top 4 though as I genuinely don't mind finishing 5th. I won't enjoy the summer holiday with the missus' uncle who's a red but I like the Europa League; it's different trips abroad to choose from, tickets tend to be cheaper and we have a chance of blooding youngsters and/or winning it.
 
Not going anywhere near this game tonight.
Will have cursory glance at final score just before bedtime.
