West Ham v City FA Cup post match

Biggest single takeaway from that, for me, as several others have said, is Zab in that position. He looked comfortable, sharp and fast. Sagna, meanwhile, was doing everything that could possibly be expected of him in the right back position (and then some). So I'd definitely stay with that while Ferny's out. Stones needs to wake up – it's one thing to be calm on the ball, it's another to be downright negligent. And it's not just his inexplicable stand-off from the Hammers player. His passing was poor in the first half. Raheem is absolutely coming into his own, and is a huge prospect for years to come. Finally, I found KDB pretty quiet, and I really wonder if he's most effective playing in that position.
What more can be said about Silva that hasn't already been said? I've noticed it before – when other players who've move on from City, or those who've just arrived, are asked to mention another player that they're in awe of, it's Merlin, almost every single time. Dzeko recently talked about him as being the best player he's ever played with, and Sané said much the same thing. I had hoped that Gundogan's arrival meant that he wouldn't be overplayed, as he certainly has been these last few seasons. Well, that's gone out the window. But I still think that Pep should find a way of playing him only once a week, if he possibly can.
Yaya – don't you just love seeing him smack those penalties into the corner of the net again?
Oh, one other thing: away support, take a bow. You were really, really noisy and it came over loud and clear on the telly.
Great post and says it all really

Ian Wright going for West Ham hahaha, thought Sergio looked sharp as fook, that ball he played to Sagna down the wing for Sagna to put it in the penalty area for the goal was sublime and he was playing little touches like that all night.

Was expecting another physical encounter but once the first goal went in they wilted and it was just so easy. Yaya and Silva were outstanding, both full backs seem to revel in the more advanced positions they were asked to play in and Sterling and Aguero were a constant threat. Does anyone think that KDB has been out of sorts since that miss against Chelsea? Somehow, he needs to get that confidence back with a goal asap. Although he scored, I'm still not convinced with Stones. His passing in the first half and the way he stood off Antonio when he drove into the box was criminal. At least Sagna had a pop at him. We're on a decent run now so onwards and upwards..

Really enjoyed last night. I'm certainly going via Hackney Wick when we next play West Ham. We stayed until the end of the game but got to Highbury & Islington by around 10.30.

West Ham were poor but our movement off the ball was excellent, as was our decision-making. I liked the way we set-up and the players looked comfortable.

I don't share the concern of others over De Bruyne's form. Watching him last night, he appeared quiet as he played in a withdrawn role. He seemed to spend most of the game in our half.

That diamond worked a treat , devastating passing last night , we are not giving ourselves enough justice - that was superb football and nobody can live with us in that form , Sterling is reaching the level again of that season when he was devastating for Liverpool.
