West Ham Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Most of the team were very impressive last night but special mention must go to Marcos - deserved man of the match and made the West Ham midfield look ordinary - guess they are at the moment but they are still seasoned professionals who have plied their trade in the Prem for some time and an 18 year old outshone them.

However, what impressed me most was that dispite the score being 9 - 0, the players still wanted to score more and, possibly more important, not concede - Jolean's bloke near the end. At 90 odd minutes, West Ham had a corner and the defence handled it like the game was on a knife edge and we were defending a 2 - 1 ( on aggreagate ) lead.

Well played, City - great stuff.

Not that mind, but Didn't know jolean was into that sort of thing ;)

Fair play to Stuart Pearce with his comments not only on our team but his great praise of our fans. Whatever people say about his tenure at least he doesn't appear to be bitter about us.

amen.

What I love about that clip is Fernandinho busting a gut to get into the box! Great signing!

Home at last. Knackered . Good win blues and fans were great.

Did you find Keith?

Nice to see you last night Dan, if only briefly!

Does Upton Park remind anyone else of Maine Road?

Good to see you too Chris

I enjoyed last night with it being the last visit to the old ground with the moving on to pastures new, they also have a good set of fans with a bit of our humour in their genes, it was a laugh with good banter.

The only connection I can make to Maine Road is the passage down dog shit alley to the away end? :-)

For what its worth, I've already spoken to several supporters of other clubs and all they wanted to talk about, was Lopes. It's not just City fans he impressed last night mate. The lads got it.

I agree. Not sure what expectations are on here any more but the lad is still a teenager in his first full game against Premiership opposition. I thought he was excellent - setting up 2 goals and his energy and commitment throughout the game were excellent. He looks a really good prospect
You need go and crack one off over your "Hendo" poster
