West ham Vs City Post Match Thread

City's fixture this week have three uniteds to play, one away, a defeat and counting, the next two wins at home, things back in order.

Let's assume this cockney claret and blue visit was last year's Villa, long way to go, the title is not lost already, including the annual mackams one nil.

In fairness a lot of players were shit today only jovetic silva were the real stand out for me today. West ham kept time wasting and killed time wen we tarted to look good after silvas goal do to know why hart was waving his hand to the red could see he was time wasting. 5 mins added on was a joke as well.. 2 płaers defo new stopping clichy and yaya. Dzeko gets a lot of shit as well but had no ball today didn't have much to wrk with. And shame aguero missed them chances with fine form he's been on.

That's not to say we can't be pissed off and pick the bones out of a crap performance but we've hardly turned into a terminal retreat now have we?

I used to be terrible in the past and let it spoilt the wkend. I think having a couple of kids has put a perspective on things. Stoke and West Ham games I have just shrugged off and still feel we will bounce back, albeit going to be very hard to dislodge Chelsea at the top this season.

The 2 games which did hit a nerve was Roma and even more so CSKA. We was strolling at 2-0 in a must win game and they took there foot off the gas, that told me a lot about some players characters. It was frustrating to say the least.

As you get older you tend to savour the moments of success with more fondness but in this world of tomorrow today the focus obviously is on our stuttering performances.

The mindset of defending champions can weigh heavily and while its not a legitimate reason or excuse the foot goes off the peddle and other sides pounce.

Disappointed with the results of some games for sure but at least we know we can do better which is better than knowing or thinking we cannot.

I think both home and away sides won't step back as much as they have done so in the past which could be good for our character building.

I was very disappointed with the team selection. For me, Milner, Jovetic & Kolarov should have started and it's a shame they came on too late.

However, only bad fortune prevented more goals from not being scored and 70% possession would have meant a victory in most games.

Agree with this plus playing two up front away no need( and one is a lazy usless **** )

Very harsh on Edin. However, it was clear from his first touch [when the ball bounced off to an opponent] that it wasn't the game for him. It's the manager's job to try to plan for this in advance and, if not, then, at least, react. He should not have come out for the second half. Instead, we stayed 442 and WHU were immediately on the front foot after the break. Pellers needs to wise up. No two seasons are the same.

No pressure from the Beast, but after 15 min it was soooo obvious he was not interested at all. Milner should have been on one up front if I and others can see it I really do fear the manager can't

442 is not the problem, nobody moaned when it was Aguero and Negredo up front last year in fact it was an example of how two strikers can work as a partnership.

The big problem is now that one of two is Dzeko, he has never played well with Aguero and seems to have regressed into the player and personality many wanted rid off 12 months ago.

Negredo lost form after injury last year but however when fully fit Is better option than Edin unfortunately the decision to let him leave could be our biggest outgoing transfer fuck up in the recent past.

The impact of FFP has quietly had more of an effect on the squad than immediately obvious, in that we have reluctantly let a quality player leave and have awarded contracts to players who should have been shipped out and replaced.

442 is a problem. Everyone has figured us out, we have no cover in midfield. Yaya is not a defensive midfielder therefore Fernando/Fernandinho are left to defend on their own. Silva is not a winger. It's just all wrong, everyone can see it.
