West ham Vs City Post Match Thread

442 is not the problem, nobody moaned when it was Aguero and Negredo up front last year in fact it was an example of how two strikers can work as a partnership.

There was quite a lot of discussion last year about 2 upfront and whether its ideal for us.

The big problem is now that one of two is Dzeko, he has never played well with Aguero and seems to have regressed into the player and personality many wanted rid off 12 months ago.

Negredo lost form after injury last year but however when fully fit Is better option than Edin unfortunately the decision to let him leave could be our biggest outgoing transfer fuck up in the recent past.

The impact of FFP has quietly had more of an effect on the squad than immediately obvious, in that we have reluctantly let a quality player leave and have awarded contracts to players who should have been shipped out and replaced.

Sorry, this has little to do with FFP and much more to do with a manager who keeps on changing his back and defensive midfield every bloody week!
How about the manager plays the same defence for 3-4 games in a row?
Perhaps then we won't look like schoolboys defending.

City's fixture this week have three uniteds to play, one away, a defeat and counting, the next two wins at home, things back in order.
Let's assume this cockney claret and blue visit was last year's Villa, long way to go, the title is not lost already, including the annual mackams one nil.

I know its early Sunday morning, but I have read this 3 times now. Can I have a translation please

Pelle out thought. City out fought. Selection, tactics and shape falling short.

The real worry for me is players on the pitch were not happy with each other. Very obvious sat pitchside behind the goal. CSKA and West Ham performances indicate all is not well in the dressing room.

He meant we are to play West Hame Utd, Newcastle Utd and then the other Yooonited all in a row!

I don't think it's time for doom & gloom just yet! What worries me is our consistent performers are playing poor. We still can't take a corner or free kick. Pellegrini still doesn't know his best tactics or team after 2 years. But he was right for us last year, so let's give him time to turn our season round. it's early days yet and plenty of points to play for....

Cheers.

West Ham didn't give us a moment on he ball and played well.

We've all seen City play a lot worse than that even in recent times. We created a few chances even against a very competitive opponent. For example Aguero on to the bar and then Yaya Toure's follow up which the keeper saved. I didn't go but I was watching, and all throughout the 2nd half I had the impression it wasn't going to be our days. Was always going to be a tight and difficult game where we needed the first goal.

Yet,coincidentally......we played our best stuff, and we were the better side, when Dzeko was replaced and the formation was altered - spooky!
