Westminster voting intentions weekly round up

I think Farage, Bannon, Trump could all be described as fascists.

Exact definitions are difficult because fascism is a term that gets used in an historical sense.

But these people all seek to subvert democracy, play on nationalism and race. They would very much like to be or to facilitate a dictatorship.

The Brexit Party is a Company run by Farage as he didn't want the nuisance of the democracy that has frustrated him with UKIP. He treats democracy with contempt, playing his racist nationalist cards (lies). Trump clearly has no respect for democracy or the truth and is attempting to run a dictatorship. And their good friend Bannon travels the world aiding would be dictators to get their shit together.

There is a complacency amongst much of the population of the western world that the forces of the far right that once shook the world can never rise again. Unfortunately they can and they are. They are motivated, well funded and smart and helped from a surprising angle. Putin, of course, could easily also be described as a fascist. He ticks all the boxes.

I would say Trump/Bannon are more your typical American White Nationalists than fascists in the European sense. Salvini is a fascist and Farage getting into bed with him and Le Pen is a natural evolution - anti immigrant, anti Muslim, anti-Semitic and playing on the angry white male vote, usually well off and usually over 50.

I love how it’s always liberals fault for making Farage’s message ‘more attractive’. No the message is attractive because it appeals to you. People vote for fascists and racists because they like what these people say. Pretty simple really.

It never takes long, yet again when the electorate don't vote the way they should, it's a lack of intelligence.
That this can be claimed after this particular election, proves that those on the losing side, again, are the
ones deficient in grey matter.

Works both ways if remainers were polling better or corbyn it would be classed as people being fooled with project fear or corbyns promising fantasy land rewards and idiots are laping it up.

The fact is the general public are not given facts, misinformed and uneducated on a lot of things political and go for the best sounding deal or reject that most criticised.

The present leaders in the polls are saying what the public wants to hear not always whats best for them.

Tories and labour have done the same in the past too.

Oh, so because the public is voting, in their millions, for something considered by you to be not in their interests,
they're unaware of the facts, misinformed and uneducated.

Said your point was flawed because all side claim the public is foolish if they lose.

Were people given the full facts over the iraq war? No
Were they given the full facts on what leaving would mean? No

That is why I said misinformed and uneducated about the issues not in general and that was clear, nothing condecending about that, if anyone is being condecending and treating the public with no respect it's farage, johnson, may, corbyn, campbell etc with thier lies and fudging the truth.

Please explain how it's smart to vote for a party with no policies.

It's idiocy plain and simple. That you think it isn't reinforces that view.
 
It might be a bit of wishful thinking but I think it is impossible to use an ordinary national vote to seats won model with those sort of national numbers.

This is simply a repetition of your previous post, but embellished and filled with self justification.
It's simply presenting the results of elections as if all of them are flawed because you've decided, various
topics were not fully understood.
Sooner or later, the losers of these elections are going to have to come to terms with the fact that their stance
is not what the public wants, and that the foot stamping outrage they've being displaying merely stretches the lead
for their opponents in the next vote.
