Westminster voting intentions weekly round up

He is called a facist because of the company he keeps and supports, doesn't need debating it is there to see.

Take our exit out of the equasion and he still supports and is close friends with facist, he also want to align the brexit MEPs with european raf right and facist parties in the European parliament.

There facts laid out so am I name calling him or just saying it as it is.

No he is a right wing conservative and no amount of calling him a fascist will make it so.

The worrying thing is how the casual accusations of facism/nazism so prevalent these days devalue the terms and sadly make it in some respects more likely that actual nazis / facists could get a foot in the door. Essentially the same as 'the boy who cried wolf '. So many cheap accusations of facism, nazism and anti-semitism floating around in political discourse at the moment that as a society we will become numb to these words eventually.

I don't call people facists lightly for that reason, calling any right winger a facist dilutes the arguement and allows legitimate facists to prosper.

do I think the tories are facist? No
Do I think the brexit party is facist? No

Do I think farage is ? Yes
Do I think Yaxley is a facist? Yes
Do I think Johnson is borderline or in bed with facists? Yes
Do I think theresa may is a facist? No
Do I think dominic Rabb is a facist ? No
Do I think ester McVey is a facist? No and evil fucker yes but not a facist.

Well when he stops aligning with Italian facists and having tea with bannon I will change my mind.

The alignment is in one area, a dislike of the EU and wanting to leave.

Bannon is a right wing conservative, not a fascist.

I think I probably share your dislike of most of these folk. I'd also probably add a few more, but still don't agree that facist is an appropriate term to use to describe them. Yaxley maybe, but I honestly am not interested enough in what he has to say to find out. I notice you left the anti-semite corbyn off your list? - I don't think he is btw, but that's sort of my point.

It was a list of right wingers so why would he be on it, ask me to list my opinion of left wingers and I will, but we were on about over using the term facist when talking about the right

If you say so, but my definition of a conservative both in UK and US terms is not bannon.

Anyway we ain't gonna agree so no point clogging up the thread going back n forth

Absolutely - I only mentioned Corbyns apparent credentials as the second coming of Dr Mengele in order to demonstrate a bit of balance and point out that hysterical use of language is not limited to describing those on the right.

Corbyn is on the left that’s why.

He’s a fucking chump and an antisemite but not a fascist by definition.

With regards to Farage - he has certainly behaved like a fascist in the past but is now trying to distance himself from the current UKIP mob and Robinson.

I still think he’s pretty dangerous and is responsible for acts of fascism we see from the general public towards minority.

And I agree anyone is just using facist to win an arguement, as is the modern way on social media for both left and right.

I genuinely believe Steve Bannon is a facist and so anyone aligned to him either is too or happy to be used by one, hence why I used it with fararge.

Would I have considered him a facist or aympathiser 4-5 years ago? No but turned a blind eye to it to happening in UKIP at times , people change and the more they bepieve in something the more they can turn rotten.

Same goes for Corbyn, was always a bennite, but has surrounded himself with more extreme parts of the left and is too weak/willing to properly deal with them
