We've got enough....

Interested to see who you're ideal #2 keeper would be. Who do you think is good enough, yet would come knowing they'd be behind Ederson?

I know it's not easy, and I don't have anyone in mind, but I don't believe that Bravo, even as a number 2, cannot be improved on. Off the top of my head though the club over the road have a much better back up.

Its true we did tragically miss out on big lee grant. Future star that one.

We haven't got enough and I'm not talking about a DM either.

Who thinks, if Ederson gets injured long term, that we win the league?

We need a capable back up keeper. Bravo hasn't come to terms with the physicality of the PL and has confidence issues still.

The difference between our first choice and our back up is by far the greatest in this position.

So keep your fingers crossed because we cope very well with the loss of any other player (Pep's system sees to that)

Bravo is fine as a number 2 and you could say that to all the top teams if they lost there goalie for a long period.

I'd like to agree but I think the same problems that got him demoted to number 2 are still there if was called upon. If we had a Romero to call on I don't think we would drop as many points.

I hope you are right it's just my take on how we could improve our squad which is difficult.

We would miss Fern but we would miss Ederson more.

We would because we wouldn't be able to play the same way the team has been trained to play.

Maybe but Bravo ain’t going anywhere this season so he be our number 2 and we did finish third that season with him as number 1 and you do remember that team that season think Pep did a miricle to get us third.

There were so many chances that we missed when we got 3rd too. If we had put away games we might have gotten higher. We have improved on our goal scoring. This would make Bravo in goal a lot more confident if we were winning games 3 or 4 goals up.

No matter who is the back up keeper they will not only be good with their feet, but know how to read the game with distribution as well. Against Liverpool the other day we were bad in the 2nd half partly because Hart under the slightest press will hoof it giving the ball straight back to the opposition. Yes ideally you want your keeper to make saves, but we should know by know that this is Pep and how he plays.

The thing is that in Pep's system the defenders and keeper will be exposed the most and subject to a lot of criticism when goals are let in. They are required to read the game and do a lot more. The keepers not only have to shot stop, but sweeper keep, and play the ball with their feet. De Gea for example. The reason he looks great with United is because he's concentrating mostly on stopping shots. With Spain he looked like shit because he doesn't know when to be a sweeper and goals against him were counter attacking goals and 1 on 1 situations similar to what Bravo faces with us. Bottom line is that it's not simple and also Ederson is really amazing.

Agree with all that but do you think that our defence look less confident with specifically Bravo behind them rather than the lack of Ederson.

Eddie is the bollocks,we are stuck with bravo unfortunately so thats that really

Why are we stuck with him? If he isn't good enough why can't we replace him? Particularly as he's taking up a NHG spot. Either he's good enough for a number two or he isn't and we improve on him.

Do you mean his high wages and the fact he is settled here?

He is happy, has a contract, pep likes him,no-one else as good as eddie would come to play in the cups only,he is awful,a gaping goal once a game is fun to some i guess

I'm not happy at all about our transfer business so far although there is still time to rectify.
What became clear towards the end of last season was an inability to break down well organised defences. It didn't matter in the league because we'd already won it effectively by Christmas. I think we are resting on our laurels. Mahrez is not enough.

As things stand, I would say Pool, United and Spurs have more potent front lines than us. Why haven't we done more in this area?

As you say , L'pool have shored up their defence and will not drop many points against lower sides. Thankfully, United are still being held back by Mourinho's negativity and Spurs will probably pay the price on the pitch for their 1 billion stadium spend.

I don't really comprehend our lack of transfer activity so far. Is it because of FFP rules because I can't believe that Pep is satisfied with our attack?
Post of the year right there

Maybe not, but again we are talking about a back up. Ederson probably will let in a few goals as well just based on us being exposed from time to time. I do see improvement in Bravo from last season and learning what Pep wants from him.

Obviously hope you are right.
