What I suspect is going to happen is that Pep is going to get someone that few of us have heard of, who usually plays centre forward for their club, and turn them into a very creditable stopgap defensive midfielder for the season.

Last season many people were saying Fernandinho is finished and we need new DM, but he turns out one of the best DM in the league last season and helped City to achieve the 100 points.

Very true, but those people will be right eventually. He can't go on forever. I really thought last season was the 'playing with fire' stage, so was really happy to see Jorginho one of our two primary targets. However the word that we have no alternative to Jorginho, after saying throughout the negotiation process that we weren't upping our offer because we had B and C targets.. Doesn't look good.
