Anyone take bakayoko he seems to have lost his way at chelsea and knows most of the city team.?
Haven't been keeping up with transfers really, but is there any chance of Modric? Or is he only after a final big bumper contract now?

A few times today, Fernandinho collected the ball after it had been moved around the back and found himself with 20 yards of clear space ahead of him and 4 -5 static Chelsea players out of the game. A younger version would have been able to drive forward before releasing it, but he only did that once. If Luiz is unable to get a permit, then we may need that bit of extra energy in the middle that Delph/Gundogan do not quite offer. Ndombélé or de Jong would do me.

Surely if we buy someone this summer he will be intended as the long term Fernandinho successor, hopefully with Gomes coming through as well.If we don't sign Ndombele this summer I really hope we take a serious look at him next summer, as the long term Fernandinho successor.

No this summer we were buying Toure's replacement. Thats why we were going for a very different style of midfielder to Fern, next summer we will need to replace Fern himself and thus will probably target someone who is more dynamic and less of a pass master.

No players really compatible to Toure, in his pomp, but N’Zonzi strikes me as being the only player who seems as unflappable when receiving the ball under pressure. Age, however, is not on his side.

Toures role last season was as Fernandinho's back up when we were despetate, that's what we are replacing Fernandinho's back up and eventual replacement. On yesterdays showing we have enough to retain the Champions mantle barring serious run of injuries to key players e,g Fern ,KDB,Kun... We do not have quite enough imo to take the Champions Cup . We are close and one marquee player (striker or DM ) could push us over the line.
