what a sad bunch of fans

At the end of the day we got beat, not by a better side, but by a side without an eye on a major cup tie. Just like the same game last year when the Everton lads took it easy because of the FA cup final. Yesterday was almost a mirror image with Rocky going off, just like Jagielka did last year (although Bob manc should have put Benji on instead of poor man's DaMarcus Beasley). We just weren't up for it.
Fair play to Everton, they battered us. Although i wish they would get rid of that screechy fucking music they come out to.

Thought the USA, USA stuff for Luvvie Landon was a bit out of order - wondering whether they´ll be singing that come June - Is the Socialist Republic of Merseyside part of England these days ?;P

ums up the bitter, arrogant attitude some of you have developed. You've won nothing yet, you'd do well to remember that and I thought today's result would give the more arrogant amongst you a reminder that you aren't yet this super club you thin you are. Obviously I was wrong...

I agree weve won nothing yet, and on todays performance we dont deserve anything......

But you would do well to remember that the fans ( and gollum) of a big club like everton, steeped in so much history , treated this match and victory like a Chumps league final!!!

just shows how far we have come in other supporters eyes..... we must be a threat to the top 4 ....and errrr everton !!

You are a threat to the top 4 without doubt, as I said before, we needed a win against a top team and got it today, which is why we celebrated like we did.

But...But we're not a top team, because you told us that less than twenty minutes a go!!!

Gwladiator answer me this have you or any of your Everton fan buddies (especially the younger ones) on the site which you would normally attend ever got excited about a good run of results etc....??? OR are you ALL well grounded football analysts with a brick for passion??

Anyway thanks for coming on and giving us your well rounded thoughts....Please feel free to add some passion or humour to your posts as your snootiness is becoming tedious, Pip pip old fellow....

Wasn't that for Tim Howard ?

we were warned they were going to treat it like their cup final,

They treated it like a cup final? Or they were happy with the football their team played and the result they got against a team higher up the league than them ?

They drew 3-3 at Chelsea, 2-2 at Arsenal where they should have won, beat Burnley at home, drew at Sunderland and now beat us. Do you not consider that to be a good run of results and something to be happy about? I don't understand this cup final thing. Did we cheer beating Arsenal like it was a cup final? I don't think so, but you clearly do. I thought it was something to celebrate, winning a big game and i celebrated likewise.

In terms of Lescott. If it had been them who'd been bought and they had done the same to get Ireland or WP then we'd be saying everything they are and they'd probably be saying everything we are.

We are MCFC , we are better than this crap.

Gwladiator how do you accumulate over 600 posts on this site....??

Anyway used to have a lot of time for Everton, their fans and attitude at their ground a lot nicer than at Anfield..........but yesterday i had a ticket for Club Everton and the fans in the suite were ok but then took my place in the main stand and the hatred in there for City really surprised me..........has the Lescott deal turned them this way.........

couldnt believe the men women and kids venting their spleen at City.............late on the ball came into the section and the vile abuse hurled at SWP as he asked them to return the ball was horrendous........nothing like i have ever seen at Everton before..........my view of them as the friendly club has changed...

if you do then i will hold my hands up and admit the better team won. quality won through today. you have too many players who have yet to gel as a team. games in hand mean nothing unless you win them, or in your case draw them to be fair....under no illusions about everton but reality time for your club i think

You played like a modern day Wimbledon and we couldn't cope. .

Are you serious? You thought Everton played like Wimbledon yesterday? You clearly know f all about football. Not only do this show what a poor loser you are, it also further humiliates our players and club.

I totally agree. Some of you fans are giving us City fans a bad name. It's true, some of you have quickly started spouting the crap Utd fans used to send in our direction.

We are not title contenders, away at Spurs and now Everton have shown us how far we have to go. Our defence is dodgy, we have leaked goals against weak teams at home. We are a long way from being the finished article. JM bought players he knew and had worked with before when Chelsea got money, which helped them quickly settle and become a team. We have not done this, we have bought lots of players who need time to play with each other and gel. You can't expect this to happen over night.

I also don't think big clubs are explain by how much money you have. Its a lot more than that. i enjoy going to older grounds, they have more atmosphere than the new grounds. GP today i thought was superb. There is something nice about crappy older stadiums with crappy wooden seats. Character in my opinion.

Everton deserved their win today. They fought for their club and fans more than our shower did and showed more quality. Their fans? They behaved in the same way i would have done had it been the other way around.

Stop being Utd fans and get real people. We will get there, but we have no devine right to win anything or beat anyone. Because we have shit loads of cash, have we lost out respect and our traditions as a football club. Hope not.

The players fucking owe us one now !

But I believe we are close to having a squad capable of breaking the top 4, and who knows what a year or 2 of champions league money could do for us

I have to disagree there. I don't think you have a squad capable of breaking into the top 4. Without Piennar and Felliani, you'd have been a different team yesterday which shows how shallow your squad is. You also don't have the money of us, Spurs, Villa, Sunderland etc and will get left behind quickly. When you have everyone fit, you have an excellent 11. But no more than that i'm afraid and i don't see that changing anytime soon.
