you really are talking out of your arse now. Moyes over hughes or Mancini? lol. I'd rather have Coyle, fat sam, pulis and god damn it even phil brown as City manager over that gollum.

Are you for real?

Moyes = turning a team with no money into consistently the best outside for the last few years and the only manager to actually break into the top 4 for a long while! Add an FA Cup final to that, and League Manager of the year 3 times

Hughes = what exactly?

Keeping Blackburn up by kicking teams off the park and managing to organise Wales for a bit, and that really is it!

What a load of fucking stupidity you post!

Do you actually know anything about football or have you jumped on the band wagon with an opinion since the Arabs rode into town?

You absolute fucking idiot.

I love how "City" fans go out on each other. You absolute Fucking idiot.

Its sad to see how money effects some people.
Some City fans have kept their dignity and some are like rats who have won the lottery.
Its interesting to see old school City support frowning on the 'new rich' attitude of some.
When you play Everton you are still playing a real football club. A manager who has built his side slowly over years with almost no backing from a skint board.
You play against fans who are not there out of glory seeking or mecenary reasons. They have football and Everton in their blood.
We have a manager who is one of the most honsest and respected men in football.
So show some respect because five mins ago you were just like us.

I honestly wanted city to help us shake up the unfair top four Champions league subsidises clubs.
But if you want to turn yourselves into the plastic arrogant fans of LFC, MUTD and Chelsea then knock yourself out.

Under your new manager you have a chance to act with dignity and class.
Please take this chance and keep some of the old City about you and enjoy the new.

I think some people are missing the point here a little bit:

Our cup final

Erm no, we were in a cup final last year and believe me this game matters very little in the grand scheme of things.

However the match was still an important game for us. Moyes likes to create a siege mentallity at times and you could argue that his pre-match comments pumped everyone up (players and fans) and helped create an excellent if somewhat hostile atmosphere. Seeing as that helped us win and want it more than City its quite easy to argue that this was good management by Moyes.

Bigger club - History v Finance

Neither of us have set the league alight this season so this argument is both pointless and childish. We're both trying to get to the promised land and are both mid table. You have the better resources to get there so maybe once your there then this might be worth debating. I dont get the hatred from both sides regarding this issue.

Hatred of City RE: Lescott

Regardless of who leaked stories to the press regarding the City bids for Lescott its quite obvious that City acted a little bit one the edges of the rules regarding tapping up a player. Moyes believes in the club he's at and was angry that City thought they could just come in a steam roller him in to giving up one of his key players. He set a price and City didn't want to pay it, but continually spoke about Lescott in the media. Moyes stood firm and eventually got an amazing deal that forced his hand.

City fans and club think Moyes acted bitter, I think he played it well, why should he just roll over and let anyone come in and take his players? If he'd said "ok you win" and sold with no argument for £15m it would have set a dangerous precident for other teams or City again to come in and take another key player.

If City had just paid what Moyes wanted (which they did in the end anyway) and been a bit more professional about the whole thing, instead of some would argue publically tapping up the player through the media then relations between the two clubs would be a hell of a lot better.

As it stands though we feel that your club was very disrespectful. Some of you will probably disagree and I guess that just adds fuel to the fire.

Like I said were both at a simlar level at the moment but maybe City just got a bit ahead of themselves and put our noses out of joint.

I have no problem with everton fans defending their club we would all do the same if they were to slag us off as has been noted but on a couple of notes:

I keep on hearing about how we have no history, in my opinion those who live in the past will forever stay there, those who look to the future will be succesful, your in danger of sounding very much like your neighbours across the park who are forever harking on about their glorious history.

With regards to Moyes he has done very well with limited resources but the simple fact remains what has he won and the simple answer is nothing, they dont give out trophies for fourth, fifth or six so while he recieves plaudits the fact is all he has won is places in europe and this idea that he has done it while spending next to nothing is a bit of a misnomer as there was near enough 60m of players on the everton team on sat while im not saying its close to what we have spent its still not peanuts or a bunch of kids.

I have nothing against moyes and he has done a wonderful job but the reality remains that he has achieved absolutely nothing and it speaks more about the premier leagues ability to award under achievement than everton over achieving!

I suppose all will be ok in a day or two when these Neverton fans scurry back to their own forums and we can have our board back.

Mind you it will be interesting to see if they reappear after the rearranged home fixture against them and we end up winning.

Someone created a thread called "what a sad bunch of fans" before letting rip about his hatred for Everton fans.

Everton fans come on and reply to this in a fairly restrained and concise manner, and then you complain about them being on here.

Surely an internet forum is designed for debate? Whether you agree with what Everton fans say or not, they surely have a right to reply to criticism even if it is on a Man City forum? Or is this forum specifically for Man City fans ONLY? If so then why haven't the mods banned all fans of other teams?

To me someone who can't debate and doesn't have the ability to put together a structured and accurate argument writes the type of reply you did.

if Everton had the same riches as City i am sure ALL there fans would NEVER gloat about it .Maybe after decades of shite and following there club through thick and thin gives them something to gloat about.

What can you gloat about though?

Neither of us are in the top 4, neither of us have won any silverware recently, both teams are mid table with aspirations of a top 6 finish.

Neither team should be gloating about anything IMHO

Let set the record straight. I DON'T hate Everton, I think it's a shame that they have fallen so far this year. Yes I do hate Moyes but that hatred has been there for many years he's just the sort that winds me up. I just thought it was sad to see that a club that was celebrating Europe and a final last year celebrated against us like they'd won Chelsea/Arsenal (We haven't even done anything to prove we belong in the top 6 as a permanent fixture let alone the top 4). Sorry if the way my OP was construed, I apologise for this and wish good luck to Everton to finish as high as they can, below us though ;).

I suppose we'll never be able to shake this typical City tag eh. Where's big Andy Morrison when you need him.
