What are your unpopular opinions on City that you believe 100%?

  • I love him, but Mancini has some serious flaws as a manager. His club managerial career after City proves that. The Italian national team is perfect for him because the players aren't around long enough for him to piss them off to the point of revolt.
Agreed. Mancini is not the god some people believe him to be.

  • Kompany is one of my favorite players, but there was something off about him. Nothing malicious, maybe he is just a weird guy.
He always seems like one of the most regular, intelligent and down to earth footballers around. The fact he had 2 brain cells to rub together does make him somewhat of a novelty as a professional footballer.

  • Foden is developing some troubling off the field behavior and would be getting far more criticism for that and his inconsistent year if he wasn't local. Nothing in itself is a major red flag but he just seems quite immature to me. Which on one hand is fair, on the other he's nearly 22, has kids, and a high profile professional career and needs to act like it.
Agreed. Get your head on the game Phil we don't want another Balotelli, Gazza, Wilshere type scenario.

  • Pearce playing James up top absolutely worked. If that had been made by a less clueless manager it would've been praised.
Agreed. If Fowler scores his pen then this becomes a stroke of genius.

  • Sven was not a great manager for us. The second half of his year in charge we were absolutely miserable to watch, in relegation form, and he never adapted.
He got sacked after 11 months. He had us playing as well as we had for decades and beat United home and away.
"He never adapted" fuck me he hardly had time. He took a team that looked certain for relegation, and hadn't scored a home goal in 6 months and won 10 home games on the bounce.

  • Mpenza was one of the most important signings in recent memory. His goals kept us up. Without them, there's no Thaskin takeover, and who knows where we'd be now.
How is this an unpopular opinion?

Some people (I am one!) prefer to watch football sitting down. But our needs are completely ignored.
You’re the ones whose needs are catered for, not ignored. About 97.5% of the Etihad are areas where nobody stands up so if you’re in part of the 2.5%, move to part of the 97.5%.

Stands are called stands for a reason yet until recently we’ve not been allowed to stand for decades.

The Etihad won't be any good till they have Holland's pies & puddings.

City won't catch Utd's total haul of trophies.
("Not in my lifetime", anyway.)

Anfield''s "famous European nights" do have a fantastic atmosphere.

All-seater stadiums.
Stewards telling fans not to stand.
You always have the option of watching the game on TV on your sofa.

How on earth are your needs ignored???

Ha, fair. Maybe not commonly voiced opinion is more accurate? I just love me some Mpenza.
