What areas in Greater Manchester are blue?

Whalley Range is pretty much Blue. Infact before it closed many 'faces' from the past could be found having a pint in the Whalley Pub on certain nights. Another big Blue area seems to be Burnage. I don't think I've ever seen a Rag shirt once on the numerous times I've been.

When did the Whalley shut?? I only went past there the other day and people were still going into it.

Gorton and Denton very blue for donkeys years - went to school in Gorton (Wright Robinson) in the 1970’s and you could count the Utd fans on one hand, same went for Spurley Hey, Dane Bank etc. The last 25 years has seen more Utd fans surfacing, but it’s was still dominated by blues even in the bad times.

This. Went to wright Robinson 3 years ago, I'd say 75% was blue 5% Liverpool and 10 the rags 10% other

Sale is mainly red although the racecourse seems to be blue.

I lived in Sale Moor in the 70s and 80s and there were plenty of match-going blues, GMT used to put on a couple of matchday special buses starting from Sale Moor.

I grew up in sale and there were loads more reds than blues but more blues that actually went to matches.

Newcastle is turning Blue. Have seen a couple of Newcastle clad parents with City clad kids in tow at the match. Got talking to them and they said a few of their kids mates were blues as well.

I went to school in the Stockport area in the mid/late 1960's in the Bell/Lee/Summerbee era, and out of my class of thirty, two were red, twenty seven blue, and one lad supported Altrincham......IIRC.

I went to school in the Stockport area in the late 90's, in the Pollock, Whitley & Dickov era,
out of my class of roughly 30, there was 1 blue - me. The rest of the entire class identified
themselves as Utd fans. Some of them however jumped on the Stockport bandwagon
when they beat us.

May surprise a few but their are quite a few blues in Stretford.

The Legion is majority Rag and the Metro majority blue both on Moss Rd.

Plenty of day trippers swell the Rag numbers though on match day

In the 70-80s their were loads of blues from Bury we met them home and away ,and were always up for a bit of violence if it occurred Great set of lads like I said home and away never missed.

Can say without fear that Didsbury is blue, very rarely see a rag shirt and even then the wearer is mocked and driven out of town
