What areas in Greater Manchester are blue?

I'm not a big fan of staying in the same old boozer so have watched derbies over the years in Cheadle,Didsbury,Levenshulme,Whalley Range,Openshaw,City Centre,Longsight,Withington,Heaton Mersey,Fallowfield,Moss Side,Heaton Chapel,Ladybarn. I would say every boozer had an even mix in, with the exception of Heaton Mersey which was 75/25 City. Usually half an hour after the final whistle they're packed with City even on the few occasions we've lost. I love laughing at the Rags who a couple of hours previously were mouthing off, trying to disappear quietly.

If I was superstitious I should really stick to pubs for the derby as I've probably been to about 10 or so since the 70s and don't think I've ever seen us win!

Whalley Range is pretty much Blue. Infact before it closed many 'faces' from the past could be found having a pint in the Whalley Pub on certain nights. Another big Blue area seems to be Burnage. I don't think I've ever seen a Rag shirt once on the numerous times I've been.

When did the Whalley shut?? I only went past there the other day and people were still going into it.

About three weeks ago mate. I did start a thread about it in the cellar.
