What book are you reading now / or recommend?

Anyone else read the Sean Dillon series by Jack Higgins? Currently on book 20 "The Death Trade"

Got to be honest I think its time he ended this series now, clearly running out of plot lines and its all a bit the same

I really enjoyed "Departure" by A G Riddle, so much so that I am now reading "The Atlantis Gene" by the same person. Don't really know where it is going but it is readable.

I'm halfway through Ice Force, the fourth installment of the Death Inc books. I fancy a change of genre for my next book, but I'm stumped as to what to go for.
I was browsing through my kindle earlier and realised that I would never have the pleasure of reading a new Terry Pratchett novel again and it made me quite sad.

Just finishing The Skin Collector by Jeffrey Deaver. Not one of his best.

Just finished David Benatar's - Better to never have been.

Touchy subject matter but it is a compelling argument, one that I struggle to refute.

The opening words are:

To my parents,
even though they brought me into existence;
and to my brothers,
each of whose existence, although a harm to him, is a great benefit to the rest of us.

Quite poignant in context.
