What book are you reading now / or recommend?

I'm currently reading the Perry boys "casual gangs of Manchester and Salford". Its not your typical hooligan book. Its a journey into the subculture of fashion that defined many of the soccer gangs of the 80's. Its a good read so far and has good reviews on Amazon.

Just finished The Lost Colony, third in the Old Man's War series. I'm enjoying this series and there are a few more to go yet. Thanks to whoever recommended them.

No problem, glad you like them. The 3rd and 4th tell the same story but from two perspectives.

I recently read his book Redshirts, a Star Trek mock up from the PoV of the ensign who notices that all newbies on the starship seem to seal their fate by signing up for away missions, and the lengths other crew members go to in order to avoid being noticed by the captain and his officers.

Just finished Finding Amelia by Ric Gillespie, which proposes that Amelia Earhart didn't run out of fuel over the sea during her round the world trip, but instead landed on a desert island and lived for a while there in hope of rescue. Very sad if true, and there is some interesting evidence to suggest it is actually more than likely.

The KIngkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. I wasn't sure at first but I'm a little under halfway through and it's pretty damn good.
