Why the fuck are the Eagles lauded as a great?

I don’t know. “Seven Bridges Road” is in the top ten of my most hated songs list. The only thing had going for them was Joe Walsh. Once.

Billy Joel came out and said nobody was making music for Baby Boomers so he was gonna do it, which was among the stupidest thing any pop musician has ever said, as if he ever did anything innovative or influential other than identify a lowest common denominator sales opportunity with his marketing consultants. The Eagles had their first Farewell Tour 20 motherfucking years ago and still they milk their hapless fans. I hate both these artists for a lot more than their music. They are Trumpesque in their grifting. You could argue the same for The Who I suppose; difference is they wrote good songs.

Celine Dion and that dirge from Titanic, My Heart Will Go On. It’s an absolute travesty that she won the Oscar instead of Elliott Smith and his song Miss Misery, from Good Will Hunting.

Loads of bands milk their fans, how many times will Roger Waters tour The Wall & DSOTM (Now even a re-make). He been at it since the 70s.

I'm not a Billy Joel fan, The Eagles ? I like some of their songs, don't own any of their records.
