What does it take to be considered a real City fan?

hmmm...i remember friendlys at blackpool burnley etc stood next to curly watts n les battersby followed by a season of macc and crewe in the league...the scary part was when the following season found us a division below crewe and the might of bury!!...i remember the first game of the season brought blackpool to maine rd n my eyes filling will tears as i looked round a packed ground singing blue moon...that brought proper tears to my eyes... i see it clear as day even now stood at the back of the north stand...21 yrs of season tickets and years of payin £150plus just to get in the blue section at the swamp...the best being the goats equalizer in a 1-1 or maybe curly wurlys pen wen the rags "couldnt beat 10 men".......i dont know wat makes a true blue but it hurts when we lose and lifts the biggest of clouds wen we win...

I am.

So is my dad.

I grew up reading that book. Got it for xmas one year when i was about 11 or 12 and spent months and months reading all the stats of every year. Taught me all about Frank Swift, Billy Meredith etc.

gettin soaked at swindon....the k38 bus to macclesfield....cryin at stoke at kinkys last game( i think)...feeling sick when we lose, lifting the biggest of clouds when we win and going work with the biggest smile when we muller the rags...small reasons for me why i think im a proper blue....as well as hating sharp, aig ,vodafone ,aon and any other product associated with them twats!

Its all things to all people . .. .But,Utd,Scousers red and blue, Leeds,Brum,Boro,Stoke,Millwall, etc, etc
away, for nothing more than being a Blue and so were your mates,to watch shite players in shite teams ,and still love it ? We know/knew who we are.Easy life bleatersI have no time for. Up the Blues

30 years going. 1000 games. Nearly every programme back to 1945.

Dad has literally never had a conversation with me about anything in his life other than city. Never forget the line post divorce - oh well you can go to city now without her mithering.

Taking him today - he has been going 60 years.

All my mates (3 of them) are huge fans.

Once sold my mums tv to go to spurs.

Literally can't go on the main forum when we loose.

My kids make Pam off here look impartial.

I am a real city fan!!

I see no evidence here of York or sink pissing?

what about pissing in a litter bin @ barca away ? does that count

Hating Gary Neville is the benchmark.

Double bluff. Loving him is the new hating. It shows real virility.

look who snuck on my flight to baraca

I support City since mansour merge , don't i really city fan? But i think everytime about City

Alright I'll play. Despite having to pay £40 petrol money to get back from uni for every home game, on top of my season ticket price and food and beer money, I haven't missed a home game in the three years I have been at uni, plus all champions league games, and many of the FA Cup and League Cup games on top of that, and a fair few away games, including a trip to Barca last week, does that make me a real City fan?

Money aside I'd say sticking with the club through thick and thin, sickness and health, better or worse, is enough for me to be classed as a proper blue. Even more so if you don't become arrogant when the times are good!
