What does Nedum & Sturridge have or will have in common?

People need to consider why he actually left at the time.

Money was one big factor of course, but he moved to Chelsea where he won the league. playing champions league football and won the fa cup. He was learning from two of the premier leagues top strikers in Drogba and Anelka.

At the time when he left, city were signing Adebayor, Bellamy, Tevez, Santa Cruz, and already had Benjani, Caciedo and Robinho on the books. We weren't in the Champions league and hadn't won anything for 34 years. His opportunities here would of been Carling cup at best. Probably was the correct move for him at the time. Look how well he has improved.

Sturridge would come back to us in a heartbeat. Both City and Sturridge are now totally different propositions to the ones they were when both parted company in 2009

He likes the area, and has alot of friends here and at the club. He would come at a premium though.

Silva-----------------------Aguero----------------------Sturridge

Regarding Onouha, its not a matter of questioning his qualities as a defender. IMO hes far better than Savic and can play as RB or CB. Its a case of Mancini not having any trust in him. I back Mancinis call on any decision. He knows what hes doing.

Thats what a lot of numpties said or questioned about Sturridge abilities or Nedum's. I will ignore that.

Because its not what I'm debating about.

Its about giving the talented lads (for them to be admitted into the academy and vwinning young player titles etc.) the opportunity or milieu to blossom into one.

What we gave them was IMO SHORT SHRIFT for one reason or another.

The fact that Onouha is a blue and came through the ranks, really clouds peoples thoughts on his actual ability. IMO

He aint good enough.

Spot on. It is like the Emperors New Clothes with the praise Nedum gets. If he was that good why did Sunderland buy Brown and O'Shea instead of coming back in for him?

Bit like that fat lad at Leicester?

Mancini has a team of coaches watching players train pretty much every day and will get regular feedback. I think it's fair to say that he's not a bad manager and I'm sure his backroom staff aren't too bad either.

If he says he not up to scratch I'll accept that over the armchair managers thoughts on Nedum anyday of the week.

Give me an Academy lad who cares over an import who doesn't bat an eyelid when he lose the ball. Hopefully, after winning a title, we'll move to the EDS etc when we need to bolster the squad

Nedum as good as Lescott ?

You do have to actually head the ball when you play as a centre half in the Premier League you know. Unfortunately, just being a sprinter won't hack it.

I wonder what game people are watching sometimes.
Cant tell if your serious when criticising Nedums heading ability?

I can understand why some people think Ned is better and why some think Lescott is better, but totally disagree that Ned doesnt head the ball you must try harder at finding an excuse to slag him off

Sorry - Fact is he's not good enough for us, Utd, Spurs (looking for a CB), Arsenal (Also looking for a CB), Chelsea (looking for and bought - a CB).

So its probably my opinion and a few managers.

Thats fair enough. But those teams have had the wrong opinion before. Arsenal bought Mertesacker, Djourou, Senderos etc and they are shite.

I think Nedum will be better than Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka etc as long as he stays injury free and plays. But thats just my opinion
