Thats your opinion not a fact

Sorry - Fact is he's not good enough for us, Utd, Spurs (looking for a CB), Arsenal (Also looking for a CB), Chelsea (looking for and bought - a CB).

So its probably my opinion and a few managers.
Thats fair enough. But those teams have had the wrong opinion before. Arsenal bought Mertesacker, Djourou, Senderos etc and they are shite.

I think Nedum will be better than Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka etc as long as he stays injury free and plays. But thats just my opinion

Should imagine he will play - in the championship by the looks of it.

Mertesacker may will be shite, but when it comes to caps and he having 70 odd? Nedum will be lucky to get odd. Time will tell tho.

Out of interest, since we need a new centre half. Who would you replace Nedum with for 3million pounds?

every player wants more playing time !!!!!!!!!! onouha barely gets played, he's not leaving for money its because he wants to play, he loves the club so I dont get all the hatred on here towards him. he's a local and an academy player i wish he was playing regulaly for us , hes a terrific player no one can say hes not good enough he was brilliant at sunderland and has been good when playing for us. Well probably sell him for 3 million and then buy another defender for about 30 mil, why ?

Well thats like saying if we sold Tevez for 25m - who would we get to do that job for that price. He has gone for that figure as thats all he is worth - you have to look at the fact that were not going to bring in a world class defender for anything less than 10 - 15m but there again you either bring a top class one in or use the academy - boyata, warbara etc.

All the sentimental stuff like keeping a 26? yr old on because he came through the ranks - or he supports City - or he's local is not going to get us anywhere. Samba is 2 yrs older, Savic is 5yrs younger. At the moment we have 2 good CB's although i thought that Toure was coming back to a bit of form so how many first choice do we need?

But give me a job where I fly around the country, europe to talent spot then ask me again.

Could be that after the cook thing they knew they owed him big time.

Debt paid. Kia gets another fee as well. sorted.

Better than vk? really?

A world class player would not come in and take on Nedums role thats what Im saying. Its not sentiment its the fact he is a good footballer.

Savic the player that everyone was and still is sweating about playing while Kompany and Toure are out? Lot of people saying he needs to go out on loan.

Wabara looks a great player but again nowhere near a 25 year old Onuohas level. Just dont see how we can replace Neds talents without spending big, which I dont see the point in

People need to consider why he actually left at the time.

Money was one big factor of course, but he moved to Chelsea where he won the league. playing champions league football and won the fa cup. He was learning from two of the premier leagues top strikers in Drogba and Anelka.

At the time when he left, city were signing Adebayor, Bellamy, Tevez, Santa Cruz, and already had Benjani, Caciedo and Robinho on the books. We weren't in the Champions league and hadn't won anything for 34 years. His opportunities here would of been Carling cup at best. Probably was the correct move for him at the time. Look how well he has improved.

Sturridge would come back to us in a heartbeat. Both City and Sturridge are now totally different propositions to the ones they were when both parted company in 2009

He likes the area, and has alot of friends here and at the club. He would come at a premium though.

Regarding Onouha, its not a matter of questioning his qualities as a defender. IMO hes far better than Savic and can play as RB or CB. Its a case of Mancini not having any trust in him. I back Mancinis call on any decision. He knows what hes doing.

Thats what a lot of numpties said or questioned about Sturridge abilities or Nedum's. I will ignore that.

Because its not what I'm debating about.

Its about giving the talented lads (for them to be admitted into the academy and vwinning young player titles etc.) the opportunity or milieu to blossom into one.

What we gave them was IMO SHORT SHRIFT for one reason or another.

Oh fuck off talking shite, its boring, not thought out and generally poor judgement on your behalf.
Sturridge went because he didn't like Hughes and wanted the big money on offer, if Mancini was here it may have been different.
Onouha has never lived up to his promise and im sure the 3 career threatening injuries he has had play a large part in that. Mancini even rates Boyata over Onouha, you need to realise that he isnt good enough. Yes he is a blue and im sure it may have been different if the injuries had stayed away. I will trust Mancinis decision over your blue tinted specs version every time

-- Thu Jan 19, 2012 2:13 pm --

its taken Sturridge 3 years to flourish at Chelsea and that was after a successful loan spell at Bolton. Maybe if Sturridge hadnt been about the big money after a breakthrough season back then, i think he would have floursihed at City sooner.

Look at Corluka, he went just before the ADUG investment to Spurs thinking he'd get more playing time, be more successful blah blah blah and that didnt work either.

Ned's different, he's never got a look in and has the potential to be a great english centre-back, his problem was Micah Richards was better.

Ok & who was your other young starlet coming through with Sturridge?

Vladimir Weiss, how is it going with Weiss? You know how much time is Adam Johnson getting.

Sturridge loves City, he has said so, just before he left City & he still went on to move, I thought that was classless, but, it wasn't, he didn't change his tune at Chelsea, he has maintained he loves City.

I first joined a couple of months before Sturridge signed & the abuse he was getting on here was intense & most people were convinced he wasn't as good as he thought he was.
Similar to at Chelsea that's what Terry, Lampard & Wilkins were saying about him, he thought he was too good.

Today Lampard & Terry says, he proved them wrong & he is as good as he was telling them he was lol.

Tbh, about 2 years before he came I had a good feeling he was coming to us, from all of the signs. When he came we were challenging for the title & in the Champions League whereas City were not even though you had your big sheikh money by then.

Ancelotti wanted to play the diamond & crucially a misconception about Sturridge is that he wants to play in the centre of a 4-3-3 it's not true, think more of Rooney.

Rooney doesn't want to play wide, he wants to play centrally, but, not in a 4-3-3, he wants to play off of a striker, this is the same for Sturridge, Ancelotti's diamond offered that as well It was Drogba, Anelka... & Kalou & Sturridge for the central 2 positions.

You kind of play a 442 but in a 4-2-3-1 way so if he can play behind Aguero, he'd love it, he still loves City & he moved to Chelsea as he saw us challenging for top honours into the future.

Circumstances have changed & a move to City could be on. Mancini love shim & Balotelli has spoken about leaving, but, he'd probably want to play behind Aguero.

And, it would appear by the apparant lack of offers from any other clubs, most managers agree with our Bobby.

Coincidence that Hughes got him though? That slimy twat Joorabitch is involved again isn't he? Could we see Tevez at QPR too ;-)
