and days games are played on 16:00 pm on a Sunday 20:00 pm Mondays no good if you don't live in London + if dates move can double the cost if you have to change travel and stay over night with Blackburn and Bolton gone looks like stoke will be the home away game next season

I think your all missing the main point here, like didsbury dave I am pretty selective with my away games these days, but the first one on my list was swansea away cos i'd never been there. In them days you had a lot of fans who had never been to port vale or tranmere, so I think you get a lot more lads wanting to go and the fact that you knew you could all get a ticket.
I know lads who never got their tickets for newcastle away because their mates wouldnt get one through the loyalty points system so they fucked it off
