What has Redknapp started?

Did anyone see Cabaye's "stamp" on one of the Brighton defenders yesterday? Similar to Balotelli's except it looked like he actually made contact. Haven't heard anything about it today though...

I was thinking the same thing! It stinks dunnit?

Well, let me see, this weekend has been full of it, yesterday Konchesky's horrendous tackle that was ten times worse than Vinnie's legit tackle, what, no action taken, not even a card. Cabaye's stamp, a sending off, No, surely some mistake?....... then today, phew, if it was that darn moneybags and all round bad guys Manchester City it would be a media wankfrenzy..... two challenges at Sunderland that were leg breakers and then RVP blatant elbow, so erm, i wonder if Talkshite will spend the next couple of days dissecting this lot, what do you think?

lets see what talkspurs say in the morning!!!!!!!
i wonder if ronny the rag and the fat jock will spend all the morning talking about it and how the fa should ban the person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Konchesky was shown a yellow card actually, but I agree that it was definitely a RED CARD offence, as pointed out by Neil Warnock and Graham Poll. Cabaye's was ridiculous and definite intent. Maxi's 2-footed lunge on Giggs should have been another red card. Two hands, 'diving like a keeper' Brighton player against Newcastle - NO PENALTY !! Van Persie's elbow could see retrospective action but I won't hold my breath. 2 'challenges' at Sunderland as you noted. etc etc.

Refereeing standards in England are a disgrace and there is no consistency whatsoever. Little wonder that so many are 'up in arms' about it. All the people slagging posters off for saying that there is bias against City need to realise that the vast majority are simply calling for some parity when decisions are made (see Kompany, Micah and Balotelli) but, more to the point, the major complaints are directed at the MEDIA. There is no way that anyone can genuinely argue that Sky and their pals have not influenced certain decisions. Yes, it may not be done because of a direct agenda BUT it is happening INDIRECTLY. They have to generate interest / controversy and who better than City to do that, with our place amongst the hierarchy?

It sure does.

Let all these managers complain. The nastier it gets, the sooner the FA will have to introduce some rules that make more sense and aren't open to interpretation and "manipulation".

Don't hold your breath. The FA have shown their incompetence and unwillingness to change time and time again.

Does anyone think that perhaps we have just been unlucky with a string of bad decisions in recent times? Sure the refs are inconsistent, but they always have been and they are with everyone.

Does anyone remember AVB whinging at the start of the season? What about Dalglish throwing a tantrum about FA conspiracies - and that was before Suarez? It's all swings and roundabouts, you always remember your biggest loss. In a month or two we'll be winning again and some other set of fans will be crying out for justice.

The sooner referees become obliged to do an after match press conference the better. The manager has to do it win, lose or draw so why not the ref? Simples
