On a serious note, if I was to start dating again (which I'm not interested in doing anytime soon)I'd feel most comfortable with a man no more than 5 years younger and 2-3 years older.

Depends on the people involved mate, there's no hard and fast rule.The bloke who got stabbed in Corrie who was Gail’s first husband is 61 in real life and has just got engaged to a 21 year old lap dancer.
For me apart from being a huge step down form Gail and a bit of jealousy this is borderline weirdo. This girl is only 4 years older than one of my daughters and not that far off a child. Her boyfriend was wth Gail even before she was born!!

I’m 39 and would go ten years either way. I’ve copped off with a much older lady before (20 plus years) and it felt so wrong. Blame the beer.

That said, it never really ends well, does it?
Given their respective backgrounds, she sounds like a few quid to keep her off the pole sounds good to her. Throw in the celebrity and the fact that he hasn’t fallen off the cliff yet, and it’ll feel OK for a bit. Give it any time, say10 yrs, when she’s entering her prime and he is in his 70’s, and it’s all over!
For him, it’s a brilliant ego stroke, no doubt. But surely ANYONE looking at this sees him as a desperate old man trying to put a ring on it to get some hardbody regular. I’m sure he will ride her into the ground while he can, because he’s not going to have what he has managed to hold onto for much longer. Plus, he doesn’t have the level of scratch needed to keep her around longer than her attention span, which can’t be very long at all!
Come back the first time a decently wadded 25-35 yr old walks by and you’ll see 6 inch stilettos move quicker than you’ve ever seen!

I was 30 and single (divorced) when I started a relationship with a girl I loved to bits who was 18. We were together in a really happy relationship until she developed a serious (mental) illness after 12 years. Other people often thought it a bit odd, but I guess that folk in interracial relationships often face the same thing.
