This bullshit statement of concentrating on the league is a poor excuse for inept performances and lack of quality in the squad. That's 3 cups we've wimpered out of and when we get knocked out of the europa league and get pipped at the post for the title we'll blame the agenda and the fa and the press and not the fact we've spent millions on players who aren't good enough like kolorov, lescott, dzeko , savic, bridge, santa cruz, and a few more that I can't be bothered to type.

If we go on to win the league then you have to say whatever the path, it worked. But we will look quite stupid if we don't. In a one off semi final like tonight I didn't quite get the necessity to rest key personnel and persist with the Zabaleta/Kolarov combination.... which has failed time and time again this year.

In the grand scheme of things it would have been nice to win this cup but it doesn't feel gutting to be out. We move on.

I am getting slightly worried about the seemingly "eggs in one basket" policy

Having said that teams have been in all 4 comps going into the last month and got zip
