What Is lacking?

30 goal a season striker , nigh on impossible to find under £100m , Haaland is the better option at 22 he will have a sell on value after a five year contract, Kane at 28 will not. If you include inflation the £38m we paid for Sergio is £100m in todays money.
We rarely break the bank when signing players but the better teams will work out our false nine formation, we need an option to play an out and out goal scorer , Txiki had better start accumulating the air miles to dig up another gem like Sergio or stump up the £150m needed.

Dont over complicate in big games. The quad was on this season but for some bizzaaaaar reason we played the second string v Chelsea in the FA Cup semi and tossed it off. Then tonight the only question we all wanted to know was Dhino or Rodri, and we end up playing neither and our most out of form player Sterling is in the team. WTF ????!!!!!!?...

It's weird because in the days leading up to the game, discussions about whether to start Dhino or Rodri was the dominant topic of conversation. Maybe Pep couldn't resist chucking a curve ball at that very issue. Love him dearly but his biggest flaw is his tendency to take unnecessary risks in one-off games.

One more thing..
Maybe we need to try taking the FA Cup and the league cup less seriously for a season, assuming the league is looking good.
Play the second string and the kids.
By the time we get far into the champions league we usually look knackered, like tonight.
The way we play, the amount of games we play doesn't help.
Doubt they'll want to try that though, passing on trophies, but if we really want the champions league then its worth the gamble imo.

A team can always get better, no matter how good they are. The most obvious way, is getting a striker, of course, Haaland if possible, if not..Kane will do just fine.

Then, i think that a defensive midfielder is also necessary, Rodri is not good enough and Fernandinho is old. Rodri would be great ten years ago but the game has moved on and a more physical and faster player is needed there, i think.

Those are the two main ones. A winger and a left back would be nice too but you cant have it all in a summer
