What is wrong with our support?

its been worse than tonight down in parts, Hamburg fiver lots of young lads Real Madrid £45 fewer young lads question answered.

Serious answer?
If you were there you would know that the home fans atmosphere was better than normal. Also the Real Madrid fans were shyte compared to usual Euro away fans.

Flippant reply?

I blame CHINLEY BLUES not turning up.

By the way I had my camera.

Am I a tourist?

hate all these part timers coming in moaning about our support.

i hate loud mouths idiots who dont understand crowd psychology and only understand noise levels!!!

dont mind the so called day trippers who show some sort of interest in the blues, its when you get the people who come along just to take pictures of the likes of tranny and his mates that annoy me. when i got to my seat in 107 i had a lad come up to me and ask if i would move seat 8 rows back so he could sit next to his lady friend, he got politely told no as its my season ticket seat he then just sat in the seat next to her until the lass who usually sits there came and he got fired off. they just live on a different planet........

A team that includes Silva, Aguero, Yaya Toure - Check
Champions League under floodlights - Check
The opposition are Real Madrid - Check
Ronaldo the 2nd best player in the world is a former rag - Check
Must win game - Check
Support from the stands - Missing

Seriously what is wrong? It is worrying as even though there were a number of "tourists" with their camera's out tonight there wasn't as many as Liverpool, United or Arsenal and it is going to get worse as real fans are priced out and replaced by these day trippers.

The support tonight was awful, something needs to change and quickly. Is it the logistics of the ground and set up or is it our attitude?

Why can we produce a European atmosphere like we did against Hamburg with a shitter team than in a must win game against Madrid with a fantastic team? Did the £5 tickets really bring in 20,000 missing supporters who support their side or do we relish being shit with a small hope of achieving something and then revelling in being let down again?

Don't want to piss on the parade but Bobby Mancs tactics in the first 20 minutes were shite. Once we went to 4-4-2 no problem and I agree with the sentiments you raise but 1-0 down against the second best team in the world is always going to be a up hill battle. Proud of the team second half and actually thought there was a half decent atmosphere due to the sledging of Tranny. Not sure were the £5 tickets were but I took my two sons and it cost me £120 but I suppose when they are 27 and 25 you no longer get discount!

I am shocked if people thought that was good tonight.

Type in etihad atmosphere or man city fans atmosphere into twitter and see what other fans thought.

I've never been one to seek out what other fans think of our support. Third division and thirty thousand turning up! That's support. It's people like The Dippers, Turks and hacks with a hatchet who seem to think that noise means support. Support is supporting with yer feet and yer wallet. Once yer've done that then yer can have a go!

The attendance was 45k, was this a sellout? I know CL games have a reduced capacity due to press, advertising etc but wasnt sure. From where I was sat it looked full but getting some gobby remarks of others...

Thought the atmosphere was ok considering there will have been large sections of regulars broken up and interspersed with the flashing camera brigade. Thought the kippax were particuarly good at getting it going, well done lads.

The other fans as in Jelly rags in there theater of dreams(70 thousand strong man army of shit).. where u can litterly hear a pen drop. /who gives a fuk what other morons think.

Real Madrid are a huge draw. There were two United fans behind me who were, by the way, very respectful, otherwise they'd have been out!! I really think the group stages should be included in the ST price. Obviously it would be higher. It was noticeable that the stadium didn't empty so much as well tonight so for that reason alone they can all come again.
