i think the 'certain crime' needs clarification. like boxing, the army instills discipline and respect. most of the young scrotes have never been taught this and would probably benefit from the training. many a young tearaway has been brought back into line through boxing and the armed forces mammutly.
tbh, i expected more from you , as one of the forums more intelligent members, not to dismiss the idea in the way you have using the language you have used.

A minimum educational standard before leaving school. If it takes 20 years tough shit. No benefits until you pass. No children until you pass. No attending of any religious service until you pass. No work until you pass. The standard should be around the equivalent of 5 "o" levels including English, Maths, Science (with physics bias) History, Geography and a foreign language.
If we did that all the other problems would solve themselves.

i think letting those who want to leave at 13 or 14 would be better. combining school with training/apprenticeship.
