What made you support Manchester City?

Well I live in Guernsey, an island infested with reds. I'm sure about sixty percent of the population support them. Also high in the Teams Supported list of the island are all the usual suspects, so in 1967 I decided to support a team totally different to anyone else. Little did I know just how different they would be.
I have experienced every emotion supporting City, and by god they have trully fecked up a large majority of my Saturday afternoons in the pub. But occasionally, very occasionally they give you a taste of pure enjoyment. Now, at last I and many other long suffering Blues may, at last, be able to walk into the pub Saturday after Saturday with a bloody great grin on our faces and enjoy the misery being shown by opposing supporters after being beaten by God's own team.
Oohhhhhhhhhhhhh City , thank you for choosing me,

Mine's probably quite unusual.

As a lad, I had no interest in the game at all until I was 14, then I began to play, on a casual level, but still had no interest in watching it, until the age of 22, when I began working at a place in Mobberley. That place had a good group of players who always had a kickabout on a nearby patch of grass in the dinner break. They were all good players and one of them asked me if I fancied a game one day. I explained that I wasn't very good because I had started too late in life to pick up the skills, but I was welcomed anyway and started to enjoy my dinner-times.
None of the lads criticised my clumsiness and, in fact, some of them made a point of praising me when I did something right! This did my morale the world of good.
As I got talking to them it came out that they were all Altrincham lads who supported City to a man and it seemed to me that if these were City fans, then that was the Club for me. A better bunch of lads I've never met. That was app. 1969 and I've been a Blue ever since and loved it.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!

Welcome to Blue Moon

Closest football team to me. I was raised in Fallowfield so Maine Road was only around the corner.

I think my missus is the winner, she never goes to matches or anything but has always said she's a Blue. I once asked her why and she replied "Because I hate United" !!
Now that's a womans logic for you. There is no rhyme or reason why she hates then she just does.

Cant fault logic like that.

Born and raised in Wisconsin and didn't get into football until the World Cup was over here in 1994. Hell, before that I had hardly even heard of "soccer". I caught the bug after the games and was looking for a team to support. Around the time Oasis started breaking over here. With the Gallagher's being City supporters I figured why not. Damn them ;) I had very little clue about relegation and everything else. Scouring the internet on a shitty dial-up modem trying to find a score somewhere for when we were playing "away to York" was a nightmare. Went to my first match in 2001, and still manage to make a handful every year. It's been a ride, but wouldn't change it for the world.
