Mine's probably quite unusual.

As a lad, I had no interest in the game at all until I was 14, then I began to play, on a casual level, but still had no interest in watching it, until the age of 22, when I began working at a place in Mobberley. That place had a good group of players who always had a kickabout on a nearby patch of grass in the dinner break. They were all good players and one of them asked me if I fancied a game one day. I explained that I wasn't very good because I had started too late in life to pick up the skills, but I was welcomed anyway and started to enjoy my dinner-times.
None of the lads criticised my clumsiness and, in fact, some of them made a point of praising me when I did something right! This did my morale the world of good.
As I got talking to them it came out that they were all Altrincham lads who supported City to a man and it seemed to me that if these were City fans, then that was the Club for me. A better bunch of lads I've never met. That was app. 1969 and I've been a Blue ever since and loved it.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!

1969 eh? An original glory hunter? :-)

Live and was born in Watford, just outside London, so obviously infested with rags, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea fans. Dad is an exiled blue who moved down in his twenties, so it was City or nothing for me. I'm one of four, and my younger brother tried to support the rags for a while, until we beat them in the derby 4-1 in '04, when he mysteriously changed his mind...

First year we've had season tickets this year, after mainly scraping tickets for London away games and maybe two or three home games per season for years before now, and we've missed just Everton and Wigan so far this season.

Have lived all my life in Co Armagh and when I was 6 my Auntie bought my brother and I blazers. She thought they looked quite plain and went to a sports shop and bought 2 iron on badges for the breast pockets. My brother got west Ham and still supports them and I got City. This was just before the 69 cup final and thats been it ever since and despite all the usual stick etc it has been a brilliant journey.

My Grandad and Colin Bell, forty five years ago........My Grandad and Nana lived on Platt Lane Fallowfield.

salford my old man was born n bred behind the wayverley pub in salford the year was 1930,he could see old trafford from his window,BUT by the age of 7 when most of us support a team, the old man decided to be a glory hunter and support the greatest team in england, mcfc championis, and best buudy eddie coleman wasnt happy,so thats my little story salford and mcfc, outnumbered maybe, but were ere.

My dad (from manchester) met my mother who's welsh and they moved here 1980. I was born 84 and when I was a toddler some of my earliest memories was my dad telling me the city score ( drilling it in to me) . Well it worked :) now I'm 27 and I'm influencing my 6 year old nephew. He went to a party the other day and refused to eat the cake because it was a united one! Good lad!

My dad was a mate of Ken Barnes............................

The Company was Mardon Flexible Packaging, if that narrows it down.

Ken Barnes had a lot to do with one of my local teams (Witton Albion)
