What was your first 'proper' job & how long did you last?

A compositor for local newspaper, first pay £15, started aged 16 (month after leaving school) and was there 5 years, made redundant on my 21st birthday
An imposter at all of them. My longevity and willingness to withstand abject boredom has had to stretch to almost unbearable levels in recent times due to the economic and employment climate.

Blue Marlin fish and chip shop on Derby Rd in Nottingham. Thought I'd be brilliant with my 3 A levels and show them all how to manage. They showed me I knew nothing about anything.

Straight from school I got a temping job at a solicitors where I printed off letters, stamped and signed them. Incredibly monotonous and I lasted 2 months. My first proper job was at a call centre doing cold calling. Was a proper laugh and I did that for about 4 years.

First Job after leaving School was at Granada TV Rentals in Hyde, Market street on a YTS.
I miss the baked potato wagon which was on the Market next to the Midland Bank and the sausage Muffins for breakie :)

Blimey, your self esteem must be on its arse......I remember being out of work for about 2 months and I felt awful......not contributing is soul destroying and confidence bashing,I felt like such a loser......best of luck pal, something will turn up.

I fucking hope not!!!

I think you've misunderstood me somewhat. I haven't 'never had a job' as in I 'can't get a job, I have 'never had a job' as in 'can't be arsed working', that's all.
