Barcelona sack Quique Setien following the humiliating 8-2 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with Ronald Koeman set to take over.

Barcelona have sacked manager Quique Setien, three days after his side's humiliating 8-2 defeat by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
 
The worst that will happen is a milder United like situation where they'll drop off in quality and spend a while being out of the title picture. But unlike United in England, Barcelona have only Real Madrid anywhere near them in terms of financial power, so they'll always have enough to crawl back up. The absolute worst is that they'll finish a season or two outside the top 4.

They do seem to have issues though financially, but I reckon they'll be bailed out of any pending disaster so that they land on their feet.
 
Barcelona are not in that bad a situation.

Their problem is they bought players like Griezmann and De Jong to replace Suarez and Busquets, but couldn't replace them yet because of their status at the club, and that lead to playing them still despite neither being able to run anymore.

After this defeat, they'll likely commit to starting Griezmann up front, play De Jong as the 6, Coutinho can come back and play LW.

They will still be competing for all the major titles.

Then in 2021 when all the major deadwood contracts expire - Vidal, Rakitic, Busquets, Roberto, Rafinha - they will have a proper rebuild.
 
Inter sniffing after Messi apparently, according to the commentator at the Inter/Shaktar game. And fairly confident they can do the deal without breaching FFP. Hmm. We'll see.

they have a great setup at barca youth and the 2nd team and they will find a future star and a manager to build a team that wins trophies ? maybe not champions league and that could take another 3 to 5 years and the fans will just have to take it being 2nd best for a time
