What will happen with Barcelona in the future?

Inter sniffing after Messi apparently, according to the commentator at the Inter/Shaktar game. And fairly confident they can do the deal without breaching FFP. Hmm. We'll see.
inter want to buy/loan every body, the wanted yaya, swap deal for Sergio etc, they really try it on with everybody

As far as domestic league goes I think them and Madrid are shit so basically to the outside world all will seem well, might be an opportunity for saville or athletico. I’d be more interested to see if either even get out of their CL groups.. that would be the real pisser

I heard Fred West fancies his chances too

Looks like the heyday of Spanish football is past for the time-being, just like Italy before them in the early '90's. I suspect that the financial dice are too loaded in the favour of the big two within la liga for them to suffer too much or for too long though.

i quote the BBC web site ???

A club that's in disarray with a debt that some calculate could be 700m euros unable to move on because they spend 70% of their income on wages for the first team.

They have no clear idea where to go next partly because they can't get rid of these guys and partly because they've got no vision.

if 700m euros in debt and 70% of the income on wages is no trouble for uefa FFP then we (CITY) might as well give up

Just another demonstration of why ffp is such a farce. I'd no idea they were in such a state tbh

The thing is, they've not really been a well run club in decades, other than the brief period with Juan Laporta, Txiki and Soriano in charge. They've survived off that legacy for a good while, but they've not added anyone to that nucleus who will carry it on once Messi stops carrying the team. They've spunked endless money on players that didn't work, they've gone through managers like Watford and they've been held together by that spine of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets Pique and Alves, but now most of them have gone and Pique and Busquets look old and there's just no one there to take over the responsibility.

They're going back to the shambles they were before Laporta took over, but with even larger money problems as they got so used to being at the top they've hugely overstretched themselves
