What would be the transfer values of these players today?

Bobby Moore - £47.6M

George Best - £98M

Terry Cooper - £30M

Kevin Keegan - £65m

Billy Bremner - £45M

Colin Bell - £70m

Denis Law - £38M

Peter Shilton - £30M

Jimmy Greaves - £45M

Mike Summerbee - £46.5M

Kenny Dalglish - £69M

When you consider Kane and Sterling are rated at £50m, i think most of those values are £10m light. Is kane better than Greaves and Law for example?

George Best - £98M

Colin Bell - £70m

The alcoholic wife-beater worth £28 million more than The King?

You're having a giraffe, aren't you?

OK, Best was a great attacking force, but Colin Bell could do just about everything on a football field.

Best was probably the best player on the list IMO.......as much as i rated Bell i think it'd only be City fans that reckon he was the best player on that list...

Bottle of whiskey should sway best.
Think a distillery would be nearer the mark.

I see @kippax is trying to compare players of my generation to current day valuations of relatively average Premier league players, eg, Kane/Sterling, etc.

When you consider the going rate for, say, Pogba, around £70M, do you think he's as good as God (sorry, Colin) in his prime? I certainly don't. He may have the potential, but can he take the game by the scruff of the neck every week like Bell could? Only time will tell. Similarly Buzzer valued less than Sterling? Ditto the rest on that list.

As for Best, remember he played for the most publicised team in history, and his career started shortly after the air disaster (RIP all those involved) when they were on TV almost every week (nothing changes, does it?). Most teams in that era were shown in cameo appearances, or when they played the rags. The commentators were the direct descendants of the fawning, sycophantic clowns we see today, which is why reruns of his ability are still shown today. How often does the media refer to players of that era, apart from Best, Law, Charlton? They don't.

How about:
Pele
Cruyff
Maradona?

Over £100 million each of them I reckon, based on Ronaldo & Bale's prices.

How much would Cruyff be worth if, aswell as being a great player, you knew he would then implement the philosophy for possibly the best club side ever?
