What would your priorities be this summer?

If it's true that Milner and Johnson are likely to move on and Barry and Lescott have peaked, finding replacements to meet UEFA & PL criteria is going to be very difficult. The pool of home grown talent is small and costly and every PL club is chasing it. We are already three places short in our PL & EL squads because of the shortage of club trained talent.
Our own academy hasn't produced players likely to contest a first team place next season other than Guidetti, who is still very young. Boyata, Weiss, McGivern, Cunningham etc all look to be on their way out of the club pretty soon.
Recruiting some good young home grown players should be a priority - Sturridge? Bale? - as I said the list of who would gain a place in our team on merit is very short - look at the England team!

I don't think Milner will go anywhere but yeah, Johnson may and I wouldn't blame the club if they cashed in on him while he still has some value. Guidetti and Razak can both be counted as homegrown I think but only when they reach 21.

As for signings to fill the quota? Jack Rodwell and Joe Allen are two good players who might fit in here. If Rodwell can stay fit I think he could become one of the best English players of his generation, he's better than Phil Beckenbauer Jones but keeps getting injuries which is why no one has taken a punt on him yet (United almost have several times).

Rodwell has gone backwards, probably because of his injuries but Joe Allen is a good shout, only 22. I like Ashley Williams too as a Stockport County fan but he's 27 now. I fear for Milner, his lack of playing time must raise questions.

1. Sell all the loanees that are taking up wage space, aka Ade, Santa Cruz, Michael Johnson
2. Sell Nasri. I honestly dont see where he fits in. We need a versatille winger that can spread the play, score some goals, stick to the touch line, cross the ball, and take on and beat players. I think we just bought Nasri to buy.
3. Get a winger. See above.
4. Give the youth a chance. City have one of the best Academys in the world. Its produced more professional players than any other EPL Club. More than Everton, Man. U. Thats class. Look at Juan Roman, Scapuzzi, Denis Suarez, Weiss, Guidetti. We dont nessicarily have to go out and buy a winger or CM. We can look to home.
5. Get some defensive help and loan out Savic. Hes a few seasons away, so send him somewhere he can get playing time. Bring in a good CB for cover for Lescott, Kompany, and Kolo.
6. Sell Dzeko. He started great, but hes to inconsistent. Hasnt really settled.
7. Look into adding Guidetti to the attack. Guidetti, Aguero, Balotelli, and someone new in in the transfer window sounds great.
8. Look at getting a Winger, CM, and CB or defensive help over the summer. Hazard, Jovetic, Belhanda, Javi Martinez, Vertonghen. Just get some defensive help, a winger, and another attacking option and City are complete :)
9. Keep everyone else.

I would sell AJ to Liverpool with Kelly coming the other way plus cash. He can play at RB or CB, he's young and looks good from what I have seen. Him and Martinez as CBs when Lescott and Kompany are out. Just add Hummels and defense is sorted.

New defense would look like:

RB = Richards, Kelly, Zab
CB = Kompany, Lescott, Hummels, Kelly, Martinez
LB = kola, Clichy, Zab

With Martinez mainly playing CM everyone plays regularly but there is cover due to injury/loss of form. Also Zab can cover in midfield if needed.

On this basis I would sell Kolo, Cunningham, Bridge, Boyata, Savic and DeJong.
