Any team who gets De Jong for 8mill has a bargain.

I hope we don't sell him.

I feel this needs a bump. Showed what a crucial player he is this afternoon.

Mancini knows it too.

£0

RSC and Bridge aren't even good footballers, and they're on ridiculous wages. They'll just see out their contracts on loan.

Might get a fee out of Ade.

no future at the club:

Ade £8.5-£14mill
Santa Cruz £2.5-4mill
M. Johnson £1-2mill
Bridge £0.5-1mill
Nielsen £0.5-1mill
Cunningham £1-2mill
Total £14-24mill

Then we have those players who have been rumoured to be leaving:
De Jong £10-15mill
A. Johnson £8-12mill
Kolo £3-6mill
Weiss £4-6mill
Kolarov £10-15mill
Boyata £3-5mill
Tevez £22-30mill
Dzeko £15-20mill
Milner £15-25mill
Balo £12-18mill
Nimely £2-3mill
Guidetti £10-20mill
Total £115-175mill

Anyone who takes a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM and sells...what is that - 20 PLAYERS is a fucking idiot.

From the second group 1 or two players AT THE MOST should be sold. The others have a place here, for MANY MORE TITLES TO COME.

This thread has no real purpose whatsoever.

At least we are being rational.

I think the intention was to make a list and pick a few not implying that ALL need to leave.

As for my opinion, not that it matters so much, I am with the stay-put mentality for the most part.

Sell all of that first group if possible and Boyata from the second. Weiss Im not sure on, not so so costly and theres potential but man is it taking forever if itll even ever happen. Nimely is pennies for his potential and all the others are fairly necessary unless the specifically want out (likely for more playing time - possibly AJ, KToure, Milner, Kolarov) The way injuries strike you never know who you'll need. Take Boateng for example, we should have been playing him at CB and left to go do that at Bayern then all of a sudden we need a CB. I didnt like that the whole time but the past is the past. As for Mario, Tevez, and Dzeko. As long as Tevez wants to stay hes sick with Aguero. And while Mario is so skilled and is recently saying he needs to change and behave and whatnot you wonder if the City brass will notice how everything started getting better since the last time he stepped on the pitch. Dzeko is another potential guy who barely hit it for a brief moment at the start (much of his production was off Silva and right place right time, which is still nice) however unlike a Weiss or Nobody-Nimely he can bring in some heafty cash. And we might just need that. This FIFA Fin. Fair Play stuff might get more concrete and legit next year. We might need to sell all of that first group and a few in that second too. You figure Szeko/Mario gets you some headway and the rest is likely a guy Milner/AJ/Kolarov that you just literally cant afford to hold onto, especially if you even want to bring in ONLY ONE decent player, and that HAS TO be a central defender (which is why I dont want to get rid of KToure).

Our biggest offseason offensive addition my simply have to be John Guidetti. However, I am more than okay with that. Enough outside buying, finally something homegrown (up the Hart/Kompany/Richards alley). Hes so skilled and huge (Richards tank-like, but a striker!)

Hazard is a waste of money NOT in terms of what he could do (he WILL be good) but that we can ONLY spend a little Im telling ya, and that of course has to be CD.
Bale I could only justify if we play him and the back (and move Richards inside?).

Players certain to leave
Ade -10-15 mill
Santa - 0-1 mill
Bridge -0-1 mill
Hargreaves - released

Might leave
Dzeko - 15-25 mill
Balo - 15-25 mill
Taylor - released
Nielson - free
Kolarov - 8-12 mill
Kolo - 5-10 mill
A.j - not worth it but considering what downing went for at least 15 mill

Eds and loanees who must prove themselves in pre-season to stand any chance of staying
Ibrahim
M.J
cunningham
Mc Givern
Warbara
Scapuzzi
Weiss
Boyata
Ibrahim
Nimely
Elabdellaoui
5-10 mill if weiss and boyata are sold

RSC is worth at least £3million as a player, Betis won't be the only club interested in him either so we should ask a fee. He's been class at times for Betis this season, some really good work as their target man. Bridge, yes, no chance of getting a penny for him.

if we got 3 mil and his wages off the books that might be some of our best business this summer!

though are we really going to get RSC/Bridge/Adebayor off the books this summer? We all had this same conversation last summer, though maybe with a year left on their contracts it will be easier to get them out.

I really can't believe you are saying this. Firstly, Komps is not homegrown, he was bought by Hughes for £8m, I believe. Next, Guidetti is playing in the Dutch league which is never much of a sign of quality, a bit like Samaras in the very same league.

Hazard will not be a waste of money, he will be a positive addition to a side which needs more attacking potential. Lastly, Bale as a left-back? Have you been on the glue? Tell me you are not serious. For goodness sake, man!

Players which I would like to stay:

Balo
Milner
Kolarov
Guidetti
Dzeko (?)

The rest and that includes de Jong and AJ etc just aren't consistent enough for my liking. Nige is a City legend and always will be, but he doesn't offer our side much with the system we are trying to play (Have to admit was brilliant today though!) and on a personal level would just like to see him playing moer regular football at another club which he deserves. Would also like to see Edin have another chance to prove himself next season as he simply hasn't had the service to materialise into goals.

My bad on VK, I used the term wrong. I grouped him in with guys who have been here a bit and is still on the cheap (which hes both). But ya, Good call man.

Your off on Hazard & Bale though. Hazard is a bad call...FOR THE REASON I SAID. Read up sir, is said he will be great, and very good I might add. But if you want him, at your rate lets just buy EVERYONE and concede to just not play in Europe, cool? (FIFA Fin. Fair Play is no joke - even with all of the guys going out from that first group and a few second group, there might only be a bit to buy our first priority, a decent CB to stay within the financial regs). If you think we need attacking potential then...
I dont know what to say. Out of control. We clearly just dont need attacking potential. Your taking the EA SPORTS manager-mode attitude and disregarding so many options we have because your bored with them or something.
Bale at the back? It not unrealistic. On the glue? Easy man. Obviously, thats not an ideal sport for him which is why I dont want him and said the only way I could justify it, but still the more I actually think about it now (and Im trying to be like, ya hes right that wouldnt work), I cant hate it. I dont. Again, I could take him or leave him but, on the take him side, ya itd work.

Your out of control on Guidetti. Lost a lot of respect comparing him to Samaras but I'll give you a break its cool. Hes sick, dont question the Guidetti!
