What's the problem(s)?

As the season goes on others will slow down and drop points due to the continuous slog of a game every three days. Hopefully it will even itself out.

I'd agree. But aren't other clubs also dealing with that? Everton aren't doing too badly. Or Liverpool. Or Arsenal.
Everton have played a coupld of extra games competitive as well as a couple of friendlies and aren't playing in Europe. Leeds as well. Same with Liverpool and Arsenal.

The heirachy are in thrall to Pep so the normal criteria for managers don't seem to apply to him. He had a poor season last time around but seemingly he gets to decide if & when he leaves the club. That doesn't mean he should have been sacked but he should have either committed to stay for a longer period or it should have been a mutually agreed parting of the ways.

At what point is the club going to demand an answer from him? Next May? This is not the Pep of seasons two & three with us.
