Ok 3 games in and from what I can see through my blue tinted glasses is we will win this league. Watched a few games today and to be honest it was boring to watch after seeing our lot.

Going off last season its the end of January when you can tell who will win.

Not really but my post was meant as a counterpoint to the excessive (in my view) doom and gloom. If, a big IF, we aren't as successful this season then we will have to deal with it. Let's enjoy the season.

The best analogy I can use as someone from our era(roughly speaking) is we were brought up driving an Austin allegro, it was beige, it didn’t like corners, it broke down a lot. Now we have been sold an Aston Martin. It will be on a another level to the allegro so you are happy that it is silver it corners well and it only breaks down sometimes.

I see an Aston Martin and think it should work better than the other guys VW Passat. People make a lot of money making a Aston Martin they shouldn’t see their arse if they sometimes produce a VAG. Too much pressure? Fair do’s don’t tell everyone you’re an Aston then.

Worst that can happen is that the entire team tests positive for meth, we finish the season with Scott Carson in goal, Liam Delap and Kayky up front and the rest of the starting 11 made up of under 12s.

We finish 5th and have to play in the Europa League. Just thinking about it makes me uncomfortable
