What's your favourite boozer and why?

Sadly a pub in Staybridge The Wellington which is now demolished. Full of characters, hand pulled boddies, after time when the landlord Chris would order a Ruby and take his shirt off to eat it, he was a fat bastard so it was a sight to behold.

Also, abroad, the price of a drink in New York was extortionate when I last visited in 2017, except for Rudys Dive Bar in Hells Kitchen, cheap drinks and free sausage sandwiches, check out the drinks list attached, not a great photo tbh!

Just found this on the internet and price of Rudy’s blonde still $3 a pint in NYC, well worth a visit, they show live football as well.

My late uncle was one of them characters! He told me to stop being a nobhead drinking lager lout and get this down your neck! Two pints of Holts later I never looked back ! Mind you after a few nights in the Lamp Oil I couldn’t see straight either!

It will never be the same again. Totally different pub now. The bearded hipsters with there southern accents might love it but it will never come close to what it was when it was the 'Lamp' and the salt of the earth characters that boozed in there. Sad really.
