Whats your mood regarding City right now?

Superbly put and nail hit firmly on the head.
You need to pass on some of them happy pills mate.
I think everyone's happy with winning a trophy on Sunday but let's not kid ourselves - this season hasn't been great.

It hasn't but we're still in with a shout. Glass half full mate and fight to the end.

It is the fighting....or lack of it that is the problem.....one goal conceded is usually followed by a heads down and another in the back of our net.

Confused.

We could purr along and serenely dick Villa 5-0. Or they could defend like fuck and steal it 0-2 while we play like complete strangers.

I haven't a clue any more.

It's hard to feel anything but optimistic in regards to the future.

The best manager in the world is coming to us. He will have a blank cheque book to bring in his own core and adapt the squad to his style.

For all of his faults, I honestly believe Pellegrini was never trusted with that sort of backing. Despite the big bucks we have spent under him, I feel that it was the plan from above to let Manuel keep our current core and add decent players alongside. That way they can wait for Pep to spend the proper money on his players. There is no doubt in my mind that KDB and Sterling were brought in for Pep and he will take them two players to a whole new level.

In the summer I would not be surprised in the slightest to see at least 6 new players come in. We need 3 CMs, 2 FBs and another attacking pacey player. You look at the likes of Gundogan and Pogba being linked with us and thinking about Pep's style and it is impossible not to be excited.

Despite this, I still feel we will look back on a missed opportunity. Chelsea were not outstanding last season they were just consistent, just like United were in Taggart's last season. Whilst they fully deserved their title, we gifted it them on a platter. And don't even get me started on this season. We have been abysmal in the PL, there is no other way to describe it. The fact we are in 4th place and have only taken 3 points from 33 from teams in the top 8 is a testament to how shite the PL is.

To not even muster a sustained title challenge in two consecutive seasons in borderline criminal with this squad of players. That's without mentioning the amount of times we have been hammered in games this season.

That said, I'm sure both Liverpool and Chelsea won the CL whilst finishing outside the top 4 or 4th. So nothing would surprise me with this side at the moment.

Overall, when you look at the club in the round, it's been a pretty good season: new stand, academy starting to produce, Pep on his way and a cup win. All positives.

Our league return so far is disappointing, but hardly catastrophic.

Some posters too readily use 'York away' as a footballing palliative, but at the other end of the scale are those who have lost all sense of perspective of the routine vicissitudes of being a football supporter. Even if we finish sixth, it's still been good fun for me - won plenty of games, couple of decent cup runs, had a great time watching City in Europe, made a few new friends who share my passion for the blues. It's all good.

I feel truly blessed that as a recalcitrant seven year old I decided to give my old man the two fingers and follow my destiny, despite the numerous tests that were placed in my way along the road.

So, overall my mood towards City is still hugely positive. I've been privileged to bear witness to the most amazing sporting journey over the last 40 years. How could my mood ever be badly disposed towards something that has defined and enriched my life so much?

What a fucking ride.

I agree we still are in with a shout. Despite the win at Wembley - I felt flat / empty and deflated last night driving home from Anfield, especially after seeing the other results. For the first time in ages I was angry at having paid £52 for my ticket + my sons ticket + travel etc..... I am not sure why I felt this because watching football as a hobby is an expensive pass time. A number of people I know who have gone for years have made similar comments to me. Some even deciding not to go to forthcoming games when they have gone for years to every game. I am not sure if this feeling is broader in the away fan regulars but its a reflection of the mood with quite a lot of people I know. Anyone else have a view ?

amazing how we've left the days of inevitable dominant 3/4-0 wins at home under mancini behind. now we're contemplating the different possibilities vs rock bottom villa. this season has been shameful

Nothingness, just nothingness. No fucking idea what to expect from them.

No change I either love City or I hate City, sort of the relationship I have with my wife. On Sunday I loved City, Wednesday night and today I hate City. Unlike marriage there is no divorce from being a City fan.

I just hope somehow we scramble into the top four, get to the quarter finals in the Chumps league, beat United in the Derby, and then I just want to watch cricket for 12 weeks and go on holiday somewhere for a couple of weeks and totally forget about City. Then hopefully come back next season with renewed vigor!!

This is what it's like to be City, this is what it's like to be small, loving the roller coaster this year, typical City. Watch us go on a run of wins between now and the end of the season and bish, bash, bosh we're Champions again!!
