Whats your plans for Weds 10th Nov - D Day

These threads are, quite frankly, embarrassing. Seems to me that there are some people whose raison d'être is to make a bit of a name for themselves creating a bit of atmosphere at a big game and then, no doubt, looking for plaudits afterwards: i.e. that was me that was.

What's wrong with everyone? Flares, confetti cannons, streamers, ticker-tape. Nearly all of these things have been half-cocked whenever they've been tried. It's bad enough the Premier League and its clubs trying to 'Disneyfy' football without the fans joining in too with daft ideas of their own!

Suffice to say that if we go for the rags' throat from the off, don't let them settle and/or score an early goal, there will be plenty of atmosphere, believe me.

Re: Plans for Derby Day???

Indeed, the end of that night was fucking grim.

It was the first time I'd been to OT with City in a few years and it shocked me. From the fairground atmosphere outside the chippies to that little gang of teenage rugby types bouncing around on the pavement in front of the chippies singing anti-City songs.

The accents was no surprise but the shear Disneyfication of the place was amazing. It's probably 5 years since I'd been.

The number of like early 20s middle class studenty types dancing around in the seats at full time was unlike anything I've seen at football before.

And when we came out at the end, they were quiet as mice at the exits, just getting a bit more confident when they were grouped up on Matt Busby Way.

Their "firm" got slapped by some old City lads at White City that night.

Shame.

It really is amazing how we managed to get the red hot atmospheres in derbies before the internet existed.

The only plans I have involve alcohol and remembering how they acted and how I felt when we were locked in after the semi final.

I hated them before that, and I have mellowed over the years, but that took my hatred right off the scale. C*nts.

The most uncomfortable humiliating ten/twenty minutes of my life, contrived with the club.

I will NEVER EVER forget walking out of that shit hole. Listening to these wankers mocking us as I silently walked back to the car with my dad.

Part of me wanted to turn around and smash one of those cnuts in the face, but that would have been suicide.

Keep your powder dry, always remember, live to fight another day.

Enjoy the moment of payback all the sweeter.

Forget fluffy gestures. Bring your hatred and bile, that'll all you need.

This was the only reason the atmosphere for the night games were a throwback.

Spot on.

Every victory over those c*nts until the day I die will be payback in some small way for that night of MUFC officially endorsed public mocking and humiliation.

They had a specially commissioned version of "Que Sera..." playing over the tannoy system while we were locked in for fucks sake! The whole club was taking the piss out of us that night, not just the acne riddled fuckwits to our left and right.

I have read a reasonable post recently on another site from an old time United lad who said that some United fans deserve everything that is coming their way when we eventually start to win things and overtake them as they have been charmless and arrogant in victory for too long.

Quite right, I'l spare the reasonable ones (and they do exist) when our time does eventually come, but the rest are getting it mercilessly.

that was one of the worst nights at a city game ever, and not because of the result
that inane gloating CD that was played for over forty minutes, with us locked in by collusion with GMP and Scum was disgraceful
i know people who denied access to the toilets from twenty minutes from the end by stewards and the police - this was a deliberate act and the perpetrators should be made to pay

i have always had time for the police until last year's derbies

It wasn't the most even-handed policing over two legs was it?

Were you in the upper tier? I was in the lower tier only kept us for 5 minutes, was still bad enough watching them dance round to their wembley songs. Our time will come though and when it does, it will hurt them even more.

Re: Plans for Derby Day???

Personal mission, those 30 minutes within Old Trafford after the semi-final will never be forgotten, mcfc_die_hard style for me. Just kidding I wont be going mcfc_die_hard style but I will remember how I felt stuck inside Old Trafford come derby night.

far from it
had rag knobs intimidating city fans going for the buses at our place
and then held captive at the swamp whilst they gather outside and blare shit music at us that wouldn't go amiss at guantanamo

-- Tue Oct 12, 2010 2:50 pm --

A-fucking-men to that.

We are not Accrington fucking Stanley about to play Liverpool in the FA Cup 3rd round.

It's a derby, just another team we expect to beat.

As I said before (and drew flack) there is enough cheese at COMS as it is without adding our own.

It really is amazing how we managed to get the red hot atmospheres in derbies before the internet existed.

"remembering how they acted and how I felt when we were locked in after the semi final."

I have no desire to open old wounds but after the 4-3 they couldn't let us out quickly enough. Having to fight my way through the crowds of cockney inbreds all laughing and taking the piss. It was a disgrace. Where was the f*cking segregation and crowd control. Well done to the blues for keeping our heads.

After the CC however they kept us in half the f*cking night having to listen to that shitty medley of w*nk Manu songs.

WHEN we beat them in November we have to do all we can to rub their ugly shit stained noses in it. it is OUR time now and i for one am gunna take the p*ss and make their scummy lives an absolute f*cking misery at EVERY possible opportunity.

It's just another game? F*CK OFF is it.

Haha, quality post.

I love your views on City as I share the same views as you.

You also seem really 'clued up' on all things City.

Respect :)
