what's your pro-Hughes rating?

80%, would be 100% but some issues with tactics and that

he is on track with what the owners want, hes making the right investments in players, all in all happy days.

i just think back to a few years ago, a bottom mid table club and hes already started to improve

think the 250m helped a bit though.

100% for now until he has had time with HIS squad, or longer than 3 months anyway, which is all it is at present. This time next year if we finished lower than 6th and didn't have a successful summer in the transfer market, it will reduce to 80%. Only at the end of 2010/2011 season will it deminish to the point I will join the Hughes Outers on here, and only then I will do that if we finish lower than 4th that season. 4th at the end of 2010/2011 represents success, perhaps with a carling cup thrown in foe good measure. For me that is a good timescale for him to make his mark with his squad.

I bet he wishes you owned the club!

I believe its the only way, especially with the investment. If it was a 'normal' situation of him being allowed £10m to spend, and he'd spent it on dross, well then yeah, it would be time for a rethink at the end of this season. To invest all that money though, my view is he has to be given serious time to get it how he sees it panning out in his welsh head. Otherwise a.n.other gets appointed, doesn't rate half of Hughes' signings and the whole process starts again, and then when that manager doesn't win the league in the first 3 games, the anti a.n.others will be producing thread after thread on here. Its a vicious circle which we have the opportunity of stopping, and I believe Hughes needs to be given that time.

*Oh, I have £301.23 in the bacnk, so i'm pretty sure he is glad I don't own the club!!!

Why?
That's along the lines of what the owners have asked for! In fact they have been even more patient.

If we finish this season in lower than 6th I'm guessing he won't get another year to try and make it into the top 4.

Oh come on. Hughes bought lots of players in the summer of 2008 and in january 2009, so it's much longer than three months.

Anyway, a good manager should be able to get the best out of his players even if he didn't buy them himself.

I think the owners have said they want top 4 this season but that's my opinion, afterall you've given me yours.
Various players interviews have hinted at this.........read between the lines!
