what's your pro-Hughes rating?

75 as long as he is on track to meet the stated aims of our owners then he is doing the job he is expected and challenged to do.

That would be
Season 1 improvement
Season 2 top 6
Season 3 top 4
Season 4 challenge for title
Season 5 win league

As long as we are on track for this he has my backing. I believe we are on track for top 6 now though we could be doing better.
In that case he fell on the first obstacle, because season 1 was NOT improvement. It was a fall from 9th to 10th, from 55 to 50 points.

100%

Will back hughes all the way but dont agree with his decisions or some of his player purchases, notably lescott, barry & santa cruz. But that said do think he needs to find a better way to motivate the team and get players to have a shot sometimes instead of trying to play the ball into the net. we have the squad, we have the class now lets find a better finish.

if we thrash Hull 5 - 0; we will see posts on what a great game Stevie had or Tevez. You will not see praise for the Managers tactics and "Hull are rubbish anyway" type posts.

Does not the simple fact we are even talking about the posibillity of a bad result against Hull confirm how poor hughes is?.

The manager does not have tactics, he has a tactic, the game that Hull play will expose the missing fullback gap, Geio and Bullard playing across the front of midfield both with good long range shoots and the abbility to thread passes through means trouble for that formation.

Hull have a serious problem in defence becaue of lack of quality (they can not afford to spend 50 million) so we should out score them, (after more than a few scares).......but are you happy that after spending 200 million quid thats what it comes down to?, not that we are good but that they are poor

Our full backs are quite often carrying the can for missing centre halves, Why was Lescot so far up field for Livepools equalizer, surely defending a lead is what should be on his mind. We need to get 11 brains in sync and thinking a bit about what they're doing.

About 50%, i think he's bought well but lets be honest it helps having the amount of money to spend that he's had which helps you players that have proven over the years that they're good player and i think he can take us into the top 6 which is a big improvement on what we've had recently but i don't think he's the man to take us into the top four and keep us there and his tactics and team selections at times leave a lot to be desired but i hope he proves me wrong and gets us into the top four
