I've always signed up for every cup scheme but I this year will be my last in the CL.
It just feels like the number of obstacles grows yearly.
It's never been straightforward for midweek games but the extension of the residents parking zone has ruled out driving & parking within (reasonable) parking distance.
Last year I started driving & parking up at Ashton & getting the tram in, which usually worked OK but this season there seems to be much bigger delays between post match Ashton bound trams.
The additional 23k attending the Coop at the same time has just exacerbated the problem for both park & ride availability & tram congestion.
Arguably, these are all out of the clubs control but the ticket pricing definitely isn't.
What cost me £81 last season for group games will cost me £142.50 including an extra game I didn't ask for. That's a 75% increase & based on £52.50 for the Inter game, God knows what the pricing of the knock out stages will look like.
In isolation I know my decision will not be registered by the club, but when I looked around me on a CL night, there is probably only 10% of regular season card holders in attendance (I bet they will be there for the FA Cup) & that should be a concern especially when someone who has been an ever present on cup schemes decides to wrap it up.
It really make me sad that the club no longer makes any attempt to connect with us 'fans' but rather we are seen purely as cash cows - which is exactly what we used to ridicule United for.
